Scene opens at Reaper's Dojo, where there is a mock ring set up. “The Assassin” Rory Kotch is standing on the outside shouting instructions to “The Other Girl” Petrina Rotchester, who is currently battling “Everyone’s Favourite Canadian Lady” Adriana Samu in a sparring match. Brenda Price walks up with a mic in her hand.
Excuse me, ladies, can I get a word?
[Shouting from the ring as she struggles in a SHARPSHOOTAH] Discombobulate!
Brenda looks confused and Kotch chuckles.
Vell, you vanted a vord…
I was wondering if I could talk to Petrina about her match this week against...uh...Burrito Jimmy.
[Before jumping off the top rope and narrowly missing Rotchester] Nope!
Samu lands and signals to Rotchester that they should pause their match for a moment.
Y’obviously didn’ listen to us very well last week, love. Didn’ we say we weren’t talkin’ anymore?
Oh, come on. You can’t just not talk.
Aye, we can. Take a look at what happened last week? We decided to shut our traps for a while and focus on Y Kores as a team. An’ we won! ‘Mazin’, ain’ it? Our previous strategy of tellin’ the world what we’re gonna do didn’ work out for us very well, so our new strategy is to not flap our traps an’ jus’ go out there an’ get the job done. That’s what we’re doin’. No more talkin’
But…but you have to have SOMETHING to say! What are you doing to prepare for your match? What do you think of your opponent?
[To Samu] I really thought she vas more intelligent than this…
[Rolling her eyes] Obviously we’re not sittin’ on our arses waitin’ for the Winnin’ Gods to start blessin’ us. Ye can plainly see what I’m doin’. And as for me thoughts on me opponent…well, I’m gonna keep those to meself.
Really? That’s it? Come on, ladies. I have a job to do!
Rotchester chuckles and turns back to the center of the ring. Samu smirks and turns away, as well.
[Over her shoulder] Don’t worry, Brenda. When we have something really, really important that we feel the world just can’t live without hearing, you’ll be the first to know.
With that, all three ladies start ignoring Price. Rotchester and Samu go back to their match, and Kotch goes back to shouting out tips for Rotchester. Price, looking dejected, exits to end the scene.
