Shaggy you bought a dell.... what in gods name possessed you to buy a dell were talking the computer company that custom makes their cases so normal bog standard drives wont fit >.< lol didn't you know Dell and Hell rhyme for a reason.

Dude I agree, but you gotta realize this was bought when I was 10 years old. I don't ever plan on buying another, I'm leaning towards either Mac or HP next.

i believe that both computers i've ever used are HP's. while i'm not a computer genius, by any means (i use the computer for basic shit like some word processing & net surfing), i can't find a problem with HP. however, like i say, i don't do much with computers, other then simple functions, so take this for what it's worth.

If I'm choosing, I'm buying HP everytime. ITT, when I go to school, has a deal with Dell. So I pain through using their crap. Back in Elementary through High School, we were forced to used Macs...
my HP is the shit though. I could do anything on that computer and more.

for graphics and that sort of work Mac's are the best, for ease of repair and flexability yah gotta get a pc, ^^

Well, as long as this is tech talk, what do you all feel about Windows Vista? I'm tempted to wait for Windows 7, since I've heard nothing but bad things about Vista.

yeah, I've heard nothing but bad from it either, but having two computers that run on it and seeing absolutely NOTHING go wrong... I call bullshit unless you're such a high level techie that you go out of your way to find problems...
BUT, the smart money is to wait for 7 just because its the new thing and it'll just be the next thing to go to.

I run two computers on vista 1 on xp and i found only one problem that put me in a foul mood, Vista and Xp don't talk to each other over a network, they just don't like it and I've spent a year trying to work a way round this and just can't do it, so if your going to run a network with different operating systems don't touch Vista. However in my honest opionion I've heard some good things about windows 7 the main one being his ability to talk fluently to every other previous operating system with out the same issues Vista has.
I'll let you know about that one when i get Windows 7, but for now I'd tell you to hold back and not bother with Vista.

As far as 7 goes, a guy I do a bit of work with is running RC 1 Windows 7 on a machine and he loves it. Said the same thing as you guys did, it's much smoother than Vista. Plus, I went on the HP website and priced out how I'd want my laptop set up and I'm still about 200 dollars short. Looks like I'll have to wait regardless.
