Greg Gagne makes puzzling claim

Greg Gagne (son of the legendary Verne) did an interview at 57Gold.com where he claims he and his dad invented Mixed Martial Arts. He said they pitched the concept during a 1992 U.S. wrestling conference in Las Vegas; Randy Couture and Chuck Liddell were supposedly sat in the audience and they took the idea to Dana White, and then White invented the UFC. Of course none of this is true.

He's gotta be off his rocker, no lie. I've read Blood in the Cage, and Gagne is NEVER EVER mentioned. Wonder what they will say next.

To quote the late, great John Ritter: "Oh lordy, lordy, lordy"... I respect the Gagne's for what the did for pro-wrestling, but this is ridiculous. Who are they trying to convince with this statement, us or themselves?

Wow, I had to read up on exactly you were talking about, and that's some story. Is it bad that I kinda giggled (I also cringed, too, so don't think I'm totally heartless... As dementia was one of a few problem that was prevalent right before my grandpa's deaht in August) when I read this? Anyway, I'm really interested to see if there's any kind of follow up to this insanity.
