Former WWE superstar Edward “Umaga” Fatu, 36, is currently in a Houston hospital and is in very bad shape. A long-time friend described his condition as “life threatening.”
Details are still sketchy at this point, but he apparently fell asleep last night while watching television, and several hours later, his wife found him not breathing with blood coming out of his nose. He was rushed to the hospital last night and his family has been told to fly into town as quickly as possible.
PWTorch.com’s James Caldwell posted a message this afternoon that Umaga was dead from prescription pain pills and WWE was already preparing a statement regarding his death, but that news was quickly taken offline. There has been talk among many wrestlers that Umaga is dead or brain dead, but at this time, his family will only confirm that he’s been hospitalized.
Seen a lot of speculation from Twitter, so when I get a legit source that can confirm more I'll post another update.

OK, I found another report that is saying in a paragraph what I'm seeing everywhere else

Former WWE Intercontinental champion and one-time Wrestlemania headliner Eddie "Umaga" Fatu is hospitalized in a ICU unit in Houston, Texas. There have been reports making their way among wrestlers that Fatu has died and/or is brain dead but sources close to Anoia family will only confirm that he is hospitalized at this time. A WWE source, when contacted, noted that the company was aware and that it was a "grave situation.

would've taken a miracle for him to survive, based off what i've heard, thus far. heard about a second heart attack, while in the hospital.
while i'm no fan of his, i have to call this death a bit brutal. it's not like some deaths, where the people get to die peacefully. two heart attacks, from what i've heard, blood coming from his mouth & nose (from what i hear).....from everything i've heard, so far, this don't sound like a peaceful death.
while it's also sad for anyone to die, Umaga has a history with drugs. with that said, i have a hard time feeling bad about this. if this had been something that he couldn't control, like being run over by a bus, i'd be more concerned about it.

While no doubt the whole wrestling community is saddened by this, being that he was young(relatively), the more I read the more the pieces start to fall into place. The bleeding from the nose, and also indy promoters over the last couple of months had said booking his was a pain due to poor memory and speech impediments/slurring(if y'all want to see that article I can provide it). As much as I hate to say this, and I really do because something like this is very sad, if a toxicology report comes back and doesn't tell us cocaine was involved I'll be very shocked. That's really disappointing, and I hope that this is just something else entirely.

I've already shit a walrus after the Texas-Nebraska game tonight, so a brick would be nothing. Regardless, he was released from the E because of prescription pills. In his blog JR claimed weight problems due to sleep apnea, but my dad is about 12 years older than Umaga was and he also has sleep apnea and he hasn't even come close to a heart attack.

don't even need sleep apnea for the heart attack.
