No one had heard much from Matt Margera after Wench lost her match to Hellspawn at Guys' Night Out back on June 21. He had big plans for Wench, Damien and himself for the Fourth of July, but those plans were scrapped now thanks to Hellspawn, Gordon Heath and the Sports Nutz. So there Matt sat on the sofa, watching the Texas Chainsaw Massacre on DVD. After the movie concluded, he got up and got into his truck and drove down to Le Peep in Bedford, TX for a late morning breakfast, or brunch in this case.
He arrived at Le Peep around 10:45 AM and asked to be seated in the back room, as he didn't feel like dealing much with the public. The waiter came by and asked him what he wanted to drink, and he asked for a large carafe of orange juice. Matt tried to clear his head as he waited until the waiter came back with the large orange juice carafe and an empty, small frosted glass that Matt poured the juice in. The waiter took Matt's order... biscuits and gravy, which happened to be Wench's favorite breakfast item. Matt took a sip of his orange juice when who should see him but Gordon Heath's new assistant, Codi Shane. She approached Matt to say hello.
MATT MARGERA
Shouldn't you be giving Gordie a full body massage?
CODI SHANE
I'll pretend I didn't hear that. I just wanted to come here for breakfast and I saw you and just wanted to say hi.
MATT
Please, I don't feel like being bothered.
Codi gently grabbed a hold of Matt's hand and was about to stroke it, but Matt backed off, getting his hand away from Codi.
MATT
Look, I have enough trouble knowing that Hellspawn has probably done everything he can to keep Wench from finding out that it wasn't me on that tape recorder. I don't need you to be the home wrecker that finishes the job.
CODI
WHAT?! I'm just trying to comfort you because I can only imagine how much it's hurting you not to get to be with the person you love.
MATT
If you were really concerned about me, then why the hell are you shacking up with Gordie, the man who snuck that fine print into the contract that has Wench and me in this predicament to begin with?
CODI
Matt, I need to let you in on something. You think that Gordie is just trying to tear your life apart because he hates you. That couldn't be further from the truth. Gordie doesn't want you to be co-owner because he hates you, but because he knows how talented you are as an in-ring performer and wants the best talent to be performing in SNW rings. And he knew all along that Wench would eventually cheat on you to be with Hellspawn, which is the real reason why he put that stipulation into the contract for Wench's match a couple of weeks ago... because he still cared about you as a friend.
MATT
Oh please! Since when has Gordie ever been a friend?
CODI
Well, it was Gordie that got you your first big break in GWX, and it was Gordie that brought you to both the WRF and the NAWA, and in a way he helped pave the way for you to win the NAWA World Championship.
Matt shook his head and rolled his eyes, as he felt that Codi was just trying to seduce him so that Gordie and Hellspawn's plan of Matt and Wench being torn apart forever would come to fruition. Codi put the icing on the cake by taking a pen and piece of paper out of her purse, wrote down what appeared to be her phone number and gave it to Matt.
CODI
Look, Matt. You're a good guy and you deserve better than for someone to be cheating on you like Wench has. If you ever need to talk, just give me a call.
Matt didn't say a word as Codi got up and went back to her table to sit with her female friends for their brunch get-together. Matt's food arrived as the scene faded to black.
