Scene opens in the Y Kores locker room. Brenda Price is standing by with a mic in her hand. She is looking around in clear confusion. She looks at her watch and the camera man coughs. She looks at the camera and shrugs.
Well, I guess this will just have to serve as further proof that Y Kores is simply yanking my chain and are deliberately preventing me from doing my job. As you can see, ladies and gentlemen, I am here in Y Kores’ locker room, and Y Kores is nowhere to be seen. They told me to meet them here at exactly this time, and yet…
Suddenly the door opens. The camera swings over to see Y Kores’ manager, Xander Nova, coming in backwards. He’s pulling a circa-1990s TV and VCR on a rolling cart behind him. When he gets free of the door, he pushes the cart over to Price. Without a word, he takes a VHS tape from the top of the TV and pushes it into the player, turns on the TV, pushes play, smiles at Brenda, and walks out of the room.
What the flying f…?
The tape begins to play with Y Kores’ entrance music and video. Price stares at it incredulously as the scene fades and we can see on our screen what is playing on the TV.
Footage plays. The caption reads “July 24, 2010 - Summer Bash.”
Footage continues to play showing the post-match celebration by Y Kores’ “The Other Girl” Petrina Rotchester and Xander Nova helping up “The Assassin” Rory Kotch and “Everyone’s Favourite Canadian Lady” Adriana Samu under the narrator.
On July 24, 2010, at SNW’s Summer Bash, Y Kores made history. “Everyone’s Favourite Canadian Lady” Adriana Samu and “The Assassin” Rory Kotch won the SNW Texas Tag Team Titles, thus becoming the first all-female tag team in SNW history to hold the Championships. On October 9, 2010, Y Kores will pair up with Zachary Smith to face their biggest challenge yet at Natural Selection as The Modern Day Rockers will take on their recent rivals “Kid Thunder” Alex Daniels and The Alley Ratz, and Danny “The Sahara Reign” Palis – The Classic Rockers.
However, before this happens, Y Kores will be split up one last time to get one final chance to scout out their opponents. “The Assassin” Rory Kotch will face Alley Ratz’ Twitch with everyone else barred from ringside. Zachary Smith with be teaming up with “Everyone’s Favourite Canaidan Lady” Adriana Samu against Danny Palis and Alex Daniels in a match were no one is barred from ringside.
The scene comes to Michael Landsberg sitting on this OTR set, speaking to the camera.
Will Y Kores be able to use what they have learned in the past two months to their advantage? How have the recent skirmishes between the ladies and their opponents shaped their strategy for this week? Can they concentrate on this weekend’s tasks when such an important match looms in the immediate future? We are going to find out tonight. My name is Michael Landsberg, and this is TSN’s Off The Record
The camera swivels around to show the ladies of Y Kores sitting in a row, with their titles, original and replicate, sitting on their laps.
Welcome to the show, ladies.
The ladies all return Landsberg’s greeting happily.
Let’s start with you, Miss Samu. You are teaming up with Zachary Smith this weekend. Is it a little unnerving to partner with someone that is not in your stable?
Unnerving, no. Exciting, absolutely. A little different, but I think it’ll be ok. Zacky is new around here, but he seems to have no problem with us chicks being here, too. Our alliance is one of happenstance, but we have the same goal, that being victory at Natural Selection, and this week’s match is just one more stepping stone in that direction.
It seems this whole thing started on August 21’s Saturday Night Onslaught, after the match “The Other Girl” Petrina Rotchester had with Danny “The Sahara Reign” Palis. Miss Rotchester, would you agree?
Without a doubt, Mikey. As I’ve mentioned before, it’s obvious t’us what ‘appened that day. Alley Ratz and Alex Daniels were havin’ a time of it gettin’ the better of us. They ‘ad to cheat at the previous Saturday Night Onslaught t’beat us. So they enlisted the services of Palis. It was planned from the beginnin’; they knew that if Palis attacked me after our match that m’ladies’d come out, an’ that’d give ‘em the excuse they needed to come out, as well.
The four of them continued their bullshit tactics on the followink Guys Night Out, interruptink my arm wrestlink match against Alex Daniels. Ve thoughy much the same think vas goink to happen at The Main Event, as vell, vhen ve saw Daniels and Palis come to rinkside before our title match against The Alley Ratz.
Of course, that’s not how things really turned out…
No. Luckily for us, Zacky Smith took a vested interest in what was going on that night and came down for the assist when we needed one.
Any concerns about your match this week, Adriana?
In a situation with a new tag team partner I am always wary, but I really have no reason to think Smith will try anything. Other than that, we do not have the luxury of having everyone banned from ringside, and I’m one hundred percent certain that the end of our match is going to be confusing, messy, and probably painful. And that’s if there’s going to be an end at all.
And what about your opponents?
Well I haven’t heard anything from Palis. I would be remiss to assume anything but that he and Daniels are getting ready for the match just as they would any other. However, Daniels can’t even get the name of his opponent right, so I can’t honestly say how well he’s going to be prepared.
Enough said! Now, on the other end of the spectrum, we have Rory Kotch, who is accomplished in the single’s arena, going against Twitch, who is, to say the least, not, in a match where everyone is barred from ringside. Your thoughts, Ms. Kotch?
My initial reaction vas to be completely confident in my abilities. As you said, although I have been a Tag Team Champion on three occasions, I have many accomplishments as a singles competitor, as vell, and I am comfortable vith my abilities as such. It is a rare sight to see Tvitch out on his own. But, thinkink it over a bit, I realized that I can not become too arrogant about my abilities. He is undoubtedly trainink very hard this veek, and there are many, many instances as a tag team wrestler vhere you can not count on you partners because of interference or injury duirnk a match. I’m sure I vill have my vork cut out for me.
How is having all your allies and enemies barred from ringside going to affect your match?
I am goink to let you in on a little secret, Comrade Landsberg; people are only banned from rinkside if the ref sees them. Eddy, Daniels and Palis are three very sneaky individuals, and I have every confidence in their beink able to find somevay around the stipulation. Besides…
Kotch reaches down to her side and pulls up her pipe, turning it over in her hands lovingly…
…they’ve only barred human everyvone’s from rinkside…
Landsberg makes a this-chick’s-crazy face, then recovers.
Miss Rotchester, you are, by way of the Freebird Rule, a third of the SNW Texas Tag Team Champions, and your whereabouts have not been scheduled for this weekend. Where will you be?
I’ll be where I was two months ago when these ladies did all the heavy liftin’ and won us these shiny titles. I’ll be sittin’ backstage, right by the entrance, in me wrestlin’ gear. I’ll be takin’ notes on our opponents in preparation for our match next month. I’ll also be ready to chase after those sneaky bastards if they decide to make a try at interferin’, and I’ll be watchin’ the screen in case they try it from a different angle. Most importantly, I’ll be cheerin’ m’ass off for m’ladies and enjoyin’ two very entertainin’ matches.
[to the camera]That this will be an evening full of entertainment for all pro-wrestling fans is certain to be an understatement. Make sure you tune in to watch Saturday Night Onslaught this weekend, where Zachary Smith and “Everyone’s Favourite Canadian Lady” Adriana Samu with Xander Nova are facing off against Danny “The Sahara Reign” Palis and “Kid Thunder” Alex Daniels with Eddy. Also on the card is, of course, “The Assassin” Rory Kotch taking on Twitch in a match were everyone, that is human, anyway, is barred from ringside. Good luck this weekend, ladies, and thank you for joining us tonight. My name is Michael Landsberg and this has been Off The Record with Y Kores!
The credits start to roll as the ladies shake Landsberg’s hand.
The scene comes back to Brenda Price, who still has the mic in her hand as if she is going to interview the TV her eyes are glued to.
I can not believe this…
The door to the Y Kores locker room opens again and Xander Nova reappears. He pushes stop on the VCR, turns off the TV, smiles a Price, and wheels the TV cart out of the room. The door to the locker room closes behind him, leaving Price looking angry. She makes an angry “cut” signal to the camera and the scene ends.

Footage plays. The caption reads “July 24, 2010 - Summer Bash.”
Donnelly climbs to the belts, that Rory Kotch is unhooking. Donnelly kicks Kotch a few times, causing her to lose balance with her hands. She is dangling by her feet. Donnelly attempts to unhook the belts, which he does, but instead of grabbing them, Kotch swings forward, and grabs the belts from Donnelly's grip. The bell rings, and Donnelly goes for a Hurricanranna on the winner. The move is hit successfully, sending both of them to the floor below. The belts are still around the arm of Rory Kotch, and the bell has already rung.
