PRE-SHOW INFORMATION[/U]
Wrestlers were yet again signing autographs. This time Shadow Weaver, Grave Digger, Super Destroyer, and Toyota Kowasaki joined the wrestlers from the first day in signing autographs. Like the day before, the doors opened at 6pm.
As the fans got settled, a graphic of Scott was shown and followed with another tribute video set to Pearl Jam’s “Man of the Hour”. As the lights came back on, Terry Funk welcomed everyone to the CGH Memorial Cup Tournament. He read off the list of participants and kicked off the night.
ROUND ONE RESULTS[/U]
Criss Cassidy vs. Andrew Smith
Cassidy and Smith kicked off the start of the night by shaking hands with each other. A few back and forth moves from the two men before Smith gave Cassidy a rake to the eyes. Smith followed with some suplexes and armbars. Turn of the match came after Smith went for a top-rope cannonball and Cassidy moved out of the way. Cassidy nailed a roundhouse kick, a triple German suplex, and a Pele Kick before gaining the victory following The Nightmare.
Winner via pinfall: Criss Cassidy
Emily Rutherford vs. Matt Margera
Many fans always wished for this match to happen between the two punk- skateboarding kids. Both slapped hands before the start of the match. Margera and Emily each countered the move of their opponent. Margera would go for a suplex and Emily would block it. Emily would try for kicks but Margera would defend himself from them. After many minutes of back and forth action, Emily was able to hold momentum over Margera. After going for an elbow smash onto Margera from the corner, Margera was able to move out of the way and roll up Emily for the 1,2,3.
Winner via rollup: Matt Margera[/b]
Chris Kerrigan vs. Jon Michaels
Twenty Hour hours after giving the fans a match that saw no winner due to a time limit draw, these two men showed more aggression in the matchup. If Kerrigan wasn’t playing dirty a few times, Jon was. Jon gave Kerrigan a black eye following an elbow to the face as Kerrigan had him in position for a suplex and minutes later Kerrigan busted Jon’s lip open with a punch. As the ring announcer signaled the match was drawing close to the time limit the two men tried putting the other out with DDTs, suplexes, and submission attempts. As Jon nailed the Thrilerkick the bell rung and a time limit draw was declared, thus leaving a bye in the next round for the winner of Angel/ Syco match.
Time Limit Draw: No Winner[/b]
Angel vs. Syco Boy
Syco Boy came out sporting bruises and marks from his Sycotic Cage Match against Viper. Angel was already in the ring when he entered the ring and attacked him. Angel showed no mercy to Syco or even some of his injuries from the night before. Angel had a few near falls and argued with the ref as Syco began to fight back. Angel went to deliver the Winner Take Nothing when Syco was able to block the move with a swift kick to Angel’s gut and hit her with the Syco Clash to obtain the victory.
Winner via pinfall: Syco Boy
Stank Lovve vs. Mike Rutherford
Much like the matches before them, Mike and Stank shook hands and wished each other good luck as the bell rung. All friendship went out the window after that as the two battled for control of the match. When Mike looked to be in control Stank would come back with moves Mike wasn’t suspecting like clothesline, forearm shots, or suplexes. While Stank looked for control of the match and wins Mike went into his offensive mode with a few suplexes of his own as well as a few hurricaranas. As Mike went for the TKO, Stank was able to slip out and put Mike into the Million Dollar Dream. Mike tried to fight out of it and as he crumbles to the mat he tapped out.
Winner via submission: Stank Lovve[/b]
Viper vs. Pandora
The two former stalemates immediately went at it as soon as the bell rung. Both Pandora and Viper used some dirty tactics to take control of situations that benefited them. Pandora gave Viper a low blow in the Flair fashion and without the ref seeing it take the match in her favor. As she went for a piledriver four minutes later, Viper was able to send Pandora over his back and to the mat. After hitting Pandora with a spear, Viper waited as Pandora got up and locked on the Viper-lock. As the two fell to the mat, Pandora tapped out.
Winner via submission: Viper[/b]
After the match, Viper helped Pandora up and the two shared a hug.
ROUND TWO RESULTS
Before the start of round two, fans were reminded by the ring announcer that Syco would have a bye in this round. Syco then came out to ringside and sat by Terry Funk to watch the matches.
Criss Cassidy vs. Matt Margera
The two bumped fist as the bell rang. Margera tried to take an early advantage in the match but found out, via clothesline and spinning heel kick, that it wasn’t going to happen any time soon. Cassidy worked on Margera with a couple of suplexes but missed a huge opportunity to advance as Margera was able to slip out of position of the Crucifixion and hit Cassidy with the Benihana to obtain the win and move on.
Winner via pinfall: Matt Margera[/b]
Syco and Margera looked at each other as Matt left the ring, knowing they would face off in the next round.
Viper vs. Stank Lovve
The two men shook hands before the start of the match but as soon as the bell rung, the two began to throw punches and kicks to the other. Following an STO, Stank controlled the match up until the seven minute mark. Viper ducked a running big boot attack from Stank and took the man down via a spine buster. After the Viper Line, Stank fell victim to the Venomizer.
Winner via pinfall: Viper
It was announced that Viper would have a bye in the third round, as that was where the original bye in the tournament was. The show went to intermission.
ROUND THREE RESULTS[/U]
Viper came out from the back and sat next to Terry Funk. As Margera and Syco came out he told them to have fun “making his job easier” when he faced the winner.
Syco Boy vs. Matt Margera
The men shook hands, like the rest of the competitors had before or after the match. The match went almost thirty five minutes. Both men took turns having the match in their favor and both showed high risk moves to the fans. Matt hit Syco with a release German suplex. As Syco got up, Matt was waiting and applied the Viva La Claw on Syco. The ref got close to a screaming Syco, who tapped out by tapping on the ref’s shoulder.
Winner via submission: Matt Margera[/b]
Matt collapsed to the canvas, a bit exhausted as the announcer officially introduced Viper. Viper quickly slid into the ring and began to attack Margera.
FINALS[/B]
Matt Margera vs. Viper
This match went on for forty five minutes. Upon quickly attacking Margera, Viper looked to torment his opponent. Viper worked on Margera’s knee with chop blocks and back with bearhugs. Viper even taunted Margera by covering him and pulling him up on two counts. Twenty minutes into the match the momentum changed as Viper went to hit Margera with the Viper Line. Margera ducked and began taking his anger out on Viper with suplex after suplex. Margera came close to putting the match away on numerous occasions. The last few minutes saw Margera actually hit the Benihana on Viper but he fell back onto the mat due to exhaustion. After finally crawling over and making a pin, Viper kicked out. Margera pulled Viper up, going for a suplex, but Viper countered the move and applied the Viper Lock to Margera. Mat tried in vain to fight out of the hold but realized it was impossible and he was too tired so he submitted.
WINNER OF THE CGH TOURNAMENT CUP: VIPER[/I]
Both men laid in the ring as the fans stood on their feet, applauding them. Margera and Viper embraced after the match. Terry Funk entered the ring and handed the cup to Viper, who held it up and pointed at the sky.
All the talent from the two day event and those who came out just to sign autographs exited the back to congratulate Viper. Jim Hewlett thanked the fans for coming out to the shows and announced that the two day event, along with Viper’s and Jon Michaels’ donations, took in over three million dollars. One more video aired in Scott’s memory set to the song “Into the Mystic” that showed personal photos taken with family and friends. The final graphic to show was of Scott. The wrestler’s all clapped and wiped away tears as the fans chanted “Thank you Scott”.
