Scene opens in the locker room. “Everyone’s Favourite Canadian Lady” Adriana Samu is dressed to work out, but clearly hasn’t yet. C-Pac and Doomsday are also there and they have just finished up their conversation with Samu. They are shaking hands and saying their goodbyes before leaving the locker room. As the door closes, Adriana, who has so far been smiling and acting friendly with her stable mates, suddenly gets a very confused look on her face. She shakes her head and goes to grab her duffel bag when her phone rings.
Hello?
Oh hey. You will never guess what just happened…
Yeah. C-Pac and Doomsday actually apologized for being too hard on me…
I know! They said they talked with Viper and realized that they were wrong…
See, that’s the thing. I don’t know if they’re bullshitting me or not, and I don’t like it. I have allied myself with some questionable characters over the years, like a certain Russian, for instance, but at least I always knew my allies were telling me the truth, even when they were telling me they wanted to kick my ass. I don’t like this little game…
I really don’t have a choice right now but to assume they’re telling me the truth. Either way, I guess I’ll find out on Sunday, eh?
Well, because if they’re being honest, they’re going to sit in the back or politely at ringside and watch an entertaining match. If they’re bullshitting me, I guess I’m getting screwed. And not in the oo-baby-oo-baby way, either. In the ow-my-ass way…
Am I ready? Of course I am. I couldn’t be more ready for Viper. Actually, I’m really excited about this match. It’s going to be one of my best, I’m sure. I relish the challenge that facing a seven foot man who has been sparring with me for the last few months presents. The fans are going to lap this up, regardless of how much they pretend to hate me…
Well, as I said, I can’t really do anything about Kobra’s Law right now, except afford them the opportunity to earn my trust. They should know I don’t just pass it out; everyone else does. If they are loyal to SINdicate, of which I am a part, everything will be fine…
I know. I just don’t know why they would have done a complete about face, that’s all. It’s not like they don’t have reason to suspect Viper’s choice of allies…
Viper? No, I’m not worried about him. He and I don’t always see eye to eye, even now we don’t, but at least I know he’s not bullshitting me. He knows I’m in this to get ahead, and I know he keeps me around to help him do the same. He came to me with this alliance, and my agreement hinged on the reaction of Kobra’s Law. This is what I wanted – C-Pac and Doomsday’s cooperation – so I’m going to take it for now…
Anyway, I have to split. I have an appointment at the gym. I assumed you called to tell me everything is good for the weekend?
Good. I’ll see you then…
Huh?
Of course I still have it! Haha. That thing is handy!
Alright. I’ll catch you later, my friend.
Adriana hangs up the phone, chuckling to herself. She grabs the duffel bag and starts out of the locker room and down the hall. The camera pans in to something sticking out of the duffel bag and she walks away. It’s the steel pipe.
