Making bomb threats is not "an expression of free speech", it's being stupid and against the law. You can't yell "Fire" in a crowded movie theatre, and you sure as hell can't make a threat, joke or alike, to explode someone's school. I am constantly amazed at how stupid people can really be. Your kid screwed up, and like every law abiding citizen in our country, should pay for his fuck up however the law sees fit.

people forget that our Freedoms aren't absolute. you can print whatever you want, so long as you aren't committing liable (or is it slander?). you can say almost anything you want, including hate speech, so long as you aren't threatening violence (like bombing a church, threats to kill someone).
i honestly believe that too many retards run loose in society, in this day & age. when i say retards, i'm not talking about those with legit mental handicaps. most handicaps have some form of common sense.

Exactly, and I think the difference in libel and slander is content difference, but I think you are right in your usage.

i know that one of them is done verbally, while the other is in written form. i usually have a hard time keeping them straight. obviously, it would be easier to prove anything in written form, as opposed to spoken.
either way, common sense needs to be used in society. either that, or we seriously need to thin out the gene pool.
