Let's here what you have to say, America!... And all other countries as well! Like I said in another thread, I had no idea that taking something written in the dirt sheets and reporting rumors as cold hard facts qualified anyone to be an author. POW-POW!

The definition of the word author is basically somebody who writes or creates something (for the most part literary). So if he's just taking something from dirt sheets and using it as is from the dirt sheets, then it would be plagiarism.
BUT if he's taking rumors and reporting them with his own words and twist to it, regardless if its lies or partial untruths, he would be considered an author. I don't really know or care who this guy is so I don't know what he's really doing.

Oh, he's not plagiarising in the least. So I apologize if it was construed that way. I guess rehashing what the sheets say would be the better way of putting it.

well then again technically he's an author.
Not a good one mind you, but an author non the less. In the technical sense of the term anyways.

well, you do have a point. it's like being a celebrity. you don't have to do anything to become famous. you just have to be famous. same holds true with Reynolds, in the technical sense of the words.
for those who are actually familiar with the dude, i have to say that he's become seriously unfunny, since he became an author. his humor has gotten quite lazy, too. lately, whenever he updates his site, most of the work is done by others. i suppose "fame" does that to a person.
i remember when his site used to be about fans who cared about the crappiness of wrestling. it wasn't like today's crappiness (change the channels or falling asleep crapiness). it was about the crappiness that was so bad that it was actually funny. he, like the rest of us, could laugh at it.

...or maybe it's too broad a task for just one person to take on the levels and levels of crap in wrestling history. Just a thought.

...or maybe it's too broad a task for just one person to take on the levels and levels of crap in wrestling history. Just a thought. Point well taken. Considering all that there is to go over through the annals of wrestling history when it comes to bad angles/gimmicks/etc.

he seems to be doing just fine with running a site with official message board, writing books, having a family & still doing appearances & such stuff. this leads me to ask.....is it really all crap he sifts through? or is it just his schedule that prevents him from doing it alone?
either way, when the site was more about having fun, i could enjoy visiting. now that it's more about schilling his books, offical message boards & online radio show......it's become more about stroking his ego & getting others to do so, as well.
