Special thanks to Katrina and Soul Reaper for helping out last night. I had to stay the night at the hospital with my grandfather, who seems to be doing better compared to last week. If anything changes, I'll try to let you all know.
Anywho, I'm going to go ahead and try to get 4 Up posted Sunday evening at the latest. If I post it tomorrow, the show will look rushed, and with all the great RPs, you all deserve a great PPV. And please no crying if you lose your match. Everyone put in a great effort, and it will be very hard for me and Reaper to judge the 4 Up tournament portion of the PPV.

what happened to your grandfather, if i may ask? was it really bad? or, was it something that was more of a scare?
either way, i hope he's doing alright now.

He hadn't been eating right, so my grandmother took him in to find out what it was. They think it may be prostate cancer, but it looks like they caught it soon enough to be able to treat it.
Basically, someone has to stay the night with him because he has short term memory loss(not quite Alzheimer's as he remembers events that happened long ago). He'll wake up every so often and start trying to pull the IVs out and what not, and someone has to be there to remind him not to do so.

always good to catch cancer early on. the sooner it's caught, the easier it is to treat (normally).
the short term memory loss is bad, though. correct me if i'm mistaken, but i always thought Alziemer's affected the short term memory (forgetting where they are, forgetting why they're in the yard with hedgetrimmers, taking long drives & not remembering what they were doing).
then again, it's been a long time since i heard any details relating to Alziemer's that i don't remember the details like i used to.

I'll try and shed some light on that, since my grandfather currently suffers from Alzheimer's. It destroys pretty much everything, but it doesn't affect memory as much as it affects mentality as a whole, which include memories. Essentially your brain just slowly gets worn away, and memory is part of that.

that explains things better. i can only hope that if i ever start suffering from diseases like that, someone would put me out of my misery.
i used to work with a guy that refused to drink anything out of aluminum cans. he had heard of studies proving that drinking & eating stuff out of aluminum containers severely added to your risks of suffering from alzeimers.

Well, then I'm dead a motherfucker because I drink Coke whenever I can. I'm with you, if I ever get into the position where I'm like that, I'm finding legal suicide somewhere. I just don't want to live like that, I enjoy my freedom and living essentially like a vegetable is not appealing to me at all.
We are getting horribly off-topic here

we're off-topic & yet we're not. i wouldn't want to suffer from diseases like that. i've lost enough of my own mind, due to my drinking. if i had to suffer memory loss on top of that, i'd be so screwed.
