Mitsuharu Misawa, one of the greatest pro wrestlers of all-time, was declared dead at 10:10 p.m. Saturday night at a hospital in Hiroshima from an apparent heart attack after being being given a back suplex in a tag team title match.
Misawa would have turned 47 on June 18th.

depending on who you listen to, some people are already claiming that he died a couple hours earlier, while still in the ring (before he could be rushed to the hospital). either way, it's a freaky situation.
this is part of the reason why i bitch about people continuing to wrestle while they're old (by wrestling terms). risks go up substantially as you get older. body has to work harder to do the same shit that it did 20 years earlier.
while it sucks that this death had to happen, i think this should serve as a reminder to everyone else. wrestling is a young man's business for a reason.
with that said, i can only hope that he didn't feel much.
