Name: Derek Draven
Height: 5'9
Weight: 210
From: Van Nuys, California
Bio: Derek Draven began wrestling at the age of 17 in his hometown of Albany, New York. By age 19, Derek Draven was discovered by James Pape the owner of Global Wrestling, a PrimeTime Central affiliate. Derek made the move to Dallas, Texas to be closer to the main office and began wrestling under the name "Derek Darkside". The name and the gimmick were short lived as Derek did a few televised matches and wasn't quite catching on with the Global crowd.
Depressed, on the verge of looking elsewhere to apply his trade, Derek Draven encountered a man named Saloak. A then multiple time Global Wrestling World champion. Saloak was looking to form the group that would bring Global Wrestling to it's knees....The Nevermore.
Going under his real name, Derek Draven joined Saloak, Quartz, and Bobby Brawler to form the Nevermore. For the next year and half Derek Draven's star would rise, he would win damn near every championship that Global Wrestling had to offer and he would go on to become a first ballot hall of famer.
Derek Draven tired of being in the center of a political fued on and off the air requested some time off to get his head on straight and rethink his path, but before this was to happen Derek Draven would have defend his International Title in a grudge match against long time nemesis Brick at Clash of the Titans.
In a bloodbath of a match Derek Draven and Brick began to ascend the thirty foot high Global Tron and the fight continued high above the crowd. Derek Draven was tossed off the Global Tron falling thirty feet into a mesh of cables and sound equipment below. Doctors would later say Derek Draven was lucky to be alive.
Derek went to his sanctuary. Van Nuys, California where he had bought a house and invested some money in some of the local businesses. Derek Draven's wrestling career, as quickly as it had rose to stardom was over.
Derek, ever the opportunist, got word of a small indpendent promotion in Texas called Sports Nutz Wrestling and hestitantly contacted "The Excellent Gordie" Gordon Heath about becoming a financial investor.
As always with Derek Draven there are two sides to every story. A book that does not end. It is unlikley that Derek will just pump money in to the SNW and sit idely by.
Derek Draven's intentions are unclear, but one thing is for certain SNW is about to change forever.
