I'm guessing everyone who watched or wanted to watch this week's 3 hour Raw has, or has heard that WWE is doing what I am not extremely happy with. If not, well you'll get a nice snoot full of it here. I'm speaking of course of the Donald Trump "ownership" of Raw. Vince has done some bad bits in the past(Katie Vick, that stupid giveaway contest last year, Mike Adamle) but this one just finally pushed my little WWE self off the side of the cliff. They had the opportunity to redeem themselves after Vickie Guerrero left her post(thank God), and instead Vince decides to indulge himself in what he thinks will work instead of what the fans want. So, instead of the reports being true that Ric Flair was going to become the GM(which was apparently a red herring) he brought in Donald Trump AGAIN!
Putting aside the fact that I think Donald Trump is a pompous, overly self-important jackass, he has no place in wrestling. He had no place at Wrestlemania a couple years ago, and he sure as Hell has no place on Raw every week. The worst part is, they expect the fans to believe that Donald Trump is actually making decisions and such for Raw. If I didn't know any better about whether it was kayfabe or not, I would still be mad because it is such a give up. This is Vince thinking he can get media attention because of his faltering rating, when in actuality if he would just listen to what the fans want and give it to them his ratings wouldn't suck.
So, in closing, for awhile my WWE days are over. I never watch ECW(and judging by the ratings no one else does either) and with Smackdown being taped I can read the results and just keep up on it if I want to get interested again. However, Raw has pretty much been an institution at my house since I was 11. But, until Raw gets rid of this useless billionaire(or two, depending on how you view things), I'll stick with TNA which atleast gives me storylines involving wrestling instead of rich people who don't know a ankle lock from an ankle bracelet. I know a lot of you rag on TNA, and that's your right as an American with free speech and I have no intention of trying to dis-way you on that sentiment. My Mondays now will be filled with baseball, and whatever else I can find to entertain me, because Raw and the WWE who runs it as such have failed to do so.
