After months of speculation about a possible deal, WWE has finally signed Dos Caras, Jr. to a contract, reports Superluchas.net.
Under the terms of the deal, the former CMLL luchador is set to head straight to the main roster on a brand to be determined. Though he will retain proprietary rights over his name and gimmick, WWE will have full license to use his likeness for the three year contract.
He has been relieved of all outstanding Mexican booking commitments, so he should be able to make his WWE debut shortly.
OK, so I'll start taking bets right now. I'm putting the over/under at 6 months where fans don't give a damn about him. Any takers?

Fans don't give a damn about him now... and do you know why, its because that about 95% of American wrestling fans, ya know, the casual fans that the WWE relies on, well they don't keep up with Mexican wrestling.
I would also bet that for if something happened and the WWE was able to contract Tenzan or Kojima or Tenryu or Otani from Japan, for the most part they'd probably not get much response over here either.
As a matter of fact, the only time I think I watched Dos Caras Jr. on purpose was when I watched him get obliterated by Cro-Cop in PRIDE. That was fun.

Looks like WWE has another Ultimo Dragon instead of another Rey Mysterio, I agree completely

i'm giving him 1 month, max. while i would like to see more variety in WWE, i know full well that Vinnie Mac will just screw things up anyway. you know the story. if someone isn't a WWE-grown product, then Vince makes it a point to completely bury said person.
see, Goldberg, Bill; Luger, Lex; Dragon, Ultimo; Guerrera, Juvi; Crazy, Super.

I'll have to agree with the consensus here, based on past history. Though in defense of Vince, Luger kinda buried himself when he decided to break kayfabe on a radio show and talk about how he was going to win the WWF Title at Wrestlemania 10.

that's assuming that it actually happened (i only have the net stories about that). still, Luger was generally pretty worthless, so i can forgive his burial.
i forget to mention: Page, Diamond Dallas. he went from being a former WCW Champ to stalking Sara Undertaker.
