Superstar and Diva released

WWE confirmed the releases of a SmackDown! Diva and RAW Superstar Friday. Though both releases are noteworthy, neither star had been part of an active television program.

Gone are SmackDown's Candice Michelle and RAW's Sim Snuka. The related WWE press releases are below:

"World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of SmackDown Superstar Candice Michelle as of today, June 19, 2009. WWE wishes Candice the best in all future endeavors."

No surprises here as Candice Michelle wore out her welcome a while ago. Besides from whats been floating around the intra-web here and there, she wasn't really preparing for her come back so much as just going out and fucking around.

As far as Sim Snuka is concerned. He should lucky that he lasted as long as he did after the whole Deuce and Domino break up. And ceratinly should consider himself lucky he lasted this long after he was basically given the no go with Legacy.

Sim Snuka just never really fit in anywhere. Deuce and Domino were never that great, and his bit with Legacy flopped like a lead balloon. So, it was just a matter of time before they looked up and thought to themselves "Why is he here?"

As far as Candice goes, they are missing nothing. She had several injuries, including her collarbone which kept her out lately. All she was was a pair of tits, that's all she was ever useful for. Could never wrestle, and those who say "well all she had to do was look pretty." Well Maryse, Trish Stratus, hell even Maria and Kelly Kelly at least are trying. She never did, and therefor she become useless.

Regarding Sim Snuka’s release, it likely was not a Wellness Policy-related firing but rather due to creative not having anything for him. Snuka was last seen on TV at WrestleMania when he played a stunt camera man for Shawn Michaels to throw infront of Undertaker during a dive over the top rope down to the ringside floor. The spot was botched, and while it’s debatable whether Snuka was at fault or not, he ended up getting a little heat for it. He hasn’t been seen since and was given his release shortly after 5:00 PM on Friday, June 19, 2009.

Candice Michelle had been undergoing therapy to heal her injured ankle, and according to her Twitter posts was under the impression she would return sometime this month. Reports had leaked several months ago that WWE wanted to use Candice to put over some younger divas while they could, and then release her due to her injury-prone reputation. Doctors cleared her to return this month, but she was greeted with a release by WWE which was announced just moments after Snuka's.

far as i'm concerned, i'm glad Candice was fired. she was on the same level as a Mr. Kenned, /Kevin "Ah, my fucking quad!" Nash, and Ahmed Johnson! she just can't stay healthy long enough to be useful.

as far as Snuka is concerned, i thought he was canned a long time ago. thought he left around the time Manu was fired. guess i was wrong about that.

i did enjoy Snuka when he was in D & D, at least a little bit. he wasn't awesome, but he at least had some direction.
