After reading over some of the comments from the past couple of shows, the RPs that have been coming in for these shows, and just general, with Hollywood's blessing I thought I might post up a couple of observations/thoughts.
-On the subject of your characters, if you are upset about how we as writers portray them in their matches, interviews on the shows, or anything else we do with them then there's a couple things you can do. You can come to us(myself, Matt, Reaper, any staffer) and tell us "Hey, when you write this can you make him/her do this or that?" We are not higher beings than you, we just act like it because we can. We want to work with you if you have ideas, because not only does that make you better it makes for better story lines and SNW being better as a whole. We aren't mind readers(except for Reaper) so give us a little help so we can help you.
-RPing also can do A LOT, go figure. Even if you are only wrestling jobbers, RPs need to show something. Even if you just advance the fact your character is a heel or a face, don't mail it in. Give us something, anything. On the subject of RPs, a couple things of note. If your promo is too short, you are probably going to lose because it shows the staff that you don't care enough to actually think of an RP that brings your character along and therefor we shouldn't book you to win because it won't benefit anyone. At the same token, if your RP is too long then we will skim it or not even read it because you are probably repeating yourself. If you are going long on your RPs, read over it and see if you are repeating yourself un-necessarily. If you aren't, maybe you are just putting in too much. If that's it, save it. Use it for another promo, where you might not have your A-game. The best RP is a length that's long, but not Draconian and is content based not length based.
-Also, Matt said this on the deadline that can not be re-iterated enough. If you post your RP late, it does affect how we see it. This past week, a group of you guys who were in the main event waited till the day of deadline to post your RPs. If you're busy during the week, that's fine just tell us. However, if you're posting last day because you want to, that will cost you some points almost 100% of the time. Also, if you are going to do this, don't RP in other forums two-three days early and try to claim you don't have time here. If you can promo somewhere else, you can promo here just as easily. We aren't saying you shouldn't be in other feds, just give us the same priority you give those other forums.
-Like I said earlier, you can always contact us via PM, or IM, or hell even email if you are really technically challenged. Most of us have our IM info on our profiles, if I don't I'm going to add it after this gets posted. If you have a concern, problem, complaint, or just want to bitch at us, let us hear it. The more you talk to us, the better we can help you and the more enjoyable we can make SNW for everyone who reads, writes, runs, and competes here.
