With rumors of Kurt Angle returning to WWE circulating the internet, ProWrestling.net confirms reports that there was some talk of it within WWE. However, when re-signing Kurt was pitched to Vince McMahon by the WWE creative team, Vince shot the idea down quickly. Vince said he feels Angle was not a “channel changer” and also cited his prescription pill issues. Prior to pitching it to McMahon, the creative team was split on the issue.
Several months ago, a WWE source said that the company would be interested in using Angle on a limited schedule similar to Shawn Michaels and Undertaker, however that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. The main concern is whether he would adhere to the Wellness Policy.
There are conflicting reports regarding Angle’s current TNA contract. Some say it expires in September, while others are under the impression that there’s another year left on the deal.

If you read the Jarrett-Angle thread I started as well, it's looking plausible atleast. Whether or not WWE will have him, I think they would because quite frankly what the Hell else do they have?

A whole bunch of people who didn't lie their way out of their WWE contract, perhaps?

Yeah, but at the same time I've seen some of those people, and they suck hard. I'd rather take my chances with a known performer. WWE is not trying to bring up new guys, they don't want to advance new stars. They are pulling a WCW

Whether or not WWE will have him, I think they would because quite frankly what the Hell else do they have? it's plausible, at least in the sense that WWE loves bringing back former wrestlers, as of late. guys like Jericho & Big Show have had breaks from wrestling, for awhile. both came back to WWE. Christian made his return, lately. it's plausible that Angle might come back. i hope he's a bit saner, when he does so.

Incase anyone is wondering, he went away from the scruffy look. Saw a pic of him thanks to JB on Twitter, he is back to Bald Angle

When he called himself the King of the Mountain, he was right but we were spelling it wrong. He meant us to spell it King of the Mountin'
