~Adriana Samu officially closed down her fansite, canadianladysamu.ca this week. It is being replaced by an Y Kores fansite, ykwrestling.ca, which will feature seperate discussion pages for each of the Y Kores members, a page for the Stephanova School of Wrestling (run by Rory Kotch and Xander Nova in Vancouver) as well as a news feed, a list of appearances and links to box offices, as well as an extensive links page to plug other wrestling shows, bands, cool websites and anything else the ladies feel they need to share with everyone.
~Adriana Samu made the permanent move to Fort Worth this past weekend, having purchased a penthouse condo in the city. She also owns a condo in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, where she lives a certain number of weeks a year to maintain her Canadian citizenship and to comply with her American work visa. Samu noted on ykwrestling.ca that the Fort Worth condo will also be the permanent home for her albino boa constrictor, Juno, "due to the warmer climate - the last think I want to find when I get home to Canada on a -40 Celsius day in the middle of January is that the heat has broken and my poor baby has frozen to death." As you may know, Samu also has a Rottweiler, Kaos, that tours with her. In the interest of gossip, several of the SNW roster and staff were on hand to help Samu.
~Petrina Rotchester and Adriana Samu were in attendance at UFC 100 and Rotchester attended UFC 101. All three ladies are planning to attend UFC 102 later this month.
~Y Kores were indeed in Calgary this past Monday to attend the WWE's RAW taping. The three ladies were seen backstage cavorting with several members of the roster, and also joined some of the wrestlers after the show at a local pub. Calgary is, of course, where Adriana Samu was trained.
~Speaking of Calgary and RAW, the fan that appeared in the promo that aired this past week on SNW was a student of Xander Nova's. Nova and Kotch didn't know he was planning to attend the event and when they spotted him earlier that evening, Kotch had Samu alter the originally planned promo to include him.
