She has to win the primary first.
And BTW, I'm willing to bet that Dodd would win handily if Linda Mac got the nomination. All one has to do is bring up Chris Benoit and she's sunk.

there's a lot of things that Dodd could use. just bring up anything her family's been a part of, concerning WWE. then, he could simply ask "Is this what you want to represent you?" Benoit would probably cinch it for him.

Plus I don't know how much the "fine' people of Conneticut want to be represented by the wife of the man who owns a wrestling company. Maybe I'm wrong, but I just see that as being beneath them. At least that's the impression I got from the people I've met from Conneticut, that being they all have a bit of a "holier than thou" type personality.

Hell, screw Dodd using it. Her primary opponents would first.
Remember, you gotta get by a primary first. And yeah, she has money, but who's to say that the opponents she'll face won't go out of their way to wreck her?

Exactly, I don't think she'll get past the primaries unless she's lucky, and even then, I still don't think she has a chance.

Not to mention what happened the last time a WWE-connected person tried to run for elective office in Connecticut (see Backlund, Bob)...

No, he actually campaigned for and won the Republican nomination for a Connecticut congressional district. Got his ass kicked but did win a nomination.

Well, in Backlund's defense he did do it sometime after stepping away from the wrestling limelight. Whereas, McMahon JUST did it and has many more (well, her husband and his company) skeleton's in her closet. (no pun intended on anyone who's passed away)

Got his ass kicked but did win a nomination. guess the saying is true about learning something new every day. @mgm.....i don't Linda should be too concerned about defending herself against the skeletons in the closet. she should be more worried about what's already out in the open. people just have to play clips of her, during one of the many bad WWE skits to show people just what they're getting.
