SNW.comA fire broke out inside the Gordietorium late Thursday night, but fortunately only damaged the Sports Zone. Initial reports had cited Revelation, Chris Maxwell and Chris Davis(not the Texas Rangers player) had started the blaze, but that turned out to be false seeing as that they were nowhere near the area. Finally, security tape showed an angry group of SNW lower card wrestlers such as Mike LaFontaine, Greg Wilson, the Alternative Lifestylers, Bottoms Up, Chief Wahoo McNugget and the Sixth Street Assassins setting the Sports Zone ablaze. When asked why they did it, they cited their frustration with losing all the time. SNW co-owners Gordon Heath and Matt Margera decided not to press charges as they understood that the lower card wrestlers had no intentions of killing anybody, as they had set the fire when no one was in the building. Not to mention the fact that they had stayed to make sure the fire didn't go anywhere else inside the Gordietorium. Gordie and Matt even wrote it off, with Matt being quoted as saying "Meh, not like ratings for Wrestling Hangover were that great anyway." As of now, SNW will pull the plug on Wrestling Hangover, and plans on renovating the Sports Zone and turning it into a VIP lounge area for its fans to enjoy watching SNW events on plasma flat screen TVs. As a follow up to this story, while the fire only did damage to the Sports Zone, fire officials have recommended that SNW not hold any events so soon after the fire. The next SNW show will be Guys Night Out from the State Fair of Texas on October 17, and the next Saturday Night Onslaught will be October 24.
