With recent reports linking Drew McIntyre's push to support from Triple H, the assumption has been that Hunter prefers the SmackDown! talent to some of the other rising WWE Superstars.
In an interview with Powerslam Magazine, however, Triple H excludes McIntyre and identifies several other Superstars as future players for the company.
"Well, C.M. Punk is obviously already on his way to becoming a big star. Jack Swagger, I like. Sheamus. Evan Bourne is very good. Kofi Kingston. They are all moving up, but slowly, which is the right way," says Triple H in the interview.
He adds that he has a particularly close relationship with Sheamus, his training partner on the road.
HHH notes the similarities between Sheamus and a 1990s Hunter, "Sheamus just the other day showed up at a show he didn't have to be at. He does whatever he's asked to do without complaining, he goes to every show and is always wanting to work: he does it all, goes above and beyond. That's what I was like."

does this mean that Sheamus will eventually marry one of Trips' daughters?

Wait... There's seriously a wrestler in the WWE named Sheamus right now? All I can think about when I hear that name is the guy from Family Guy with the same name who has the pirate with two peg legs and peg arms.

POW!
And in all honesty, all those guys are pretty good. Well, except McIntrye I didn't really get impressed by him when I saw him last. But the rest are good quality superstars

Sheamus O'Shaunessy on ECW. The Irish guy. I wouldn't know that. I haven't watched the WWE since after Eddie left us and before you know who took took his and his family's life.

Wasn't the 2004 Royal Rumble called off, as well as the World Title being vacant from Wrestlemania 20 till Summerslam 2004 because of [name removed at the request of World Wrestling Entertainment]?

i think the Rumble match itself never happened in 2004. the World Heavyweight Championship was just mysteriously vacated, from Mania until Summerslam of that year. no official explanation was given.
i think it had something to do with the Bird Flu or SARS or something.
