Sources close to Hulk Hogan say that he is about to make a huge announcement at a press conference in New York City at Madison Square Garden and that announcement has something to do with signing a TNA deal.
Minutes ago, there were banners for TNA and Spike TV being put up as a back drop at the press conference. Sources believe Hogan isn't the only big name to sign with TNA but he may be the only one announced today.

I'm certainly glad you mentioned that JD, because let's also take a look at who ELSE comes with Hogan

Word is that Eric Bischoff will also be joining Hogan in TNA.
If you're wondering if Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff joining TNA means they will be taking things over to a certain extent, sources say, "absolutely not." Sources also say that this new signing is not a precursor to removing the current TNA writing team. It's no secret that Hogan and Vince Russo have had issues between them in the past.
As noted before, TNA and Spike TV banners are hanging up at the Hogan press conference. Jimmy Hart is there with Hogan as well.
Hogan and Bischoff signing with TNA was kept a secret to even the inner-most members of the TNA circle up until today.
Just minutes ago, Dixie Carter made the official announcement at the press conference. Spike TV officials are speaking now. Stay tuned for more.

So they had to replace Booker T's eventual (if he hasn't left already, you guy's will have to correct/inform me on this one) leave with Hogan and Bischoff... That almost makes sense. I'll never understand the moves people make in this business sometimes, but it's always entertaining to watch it go belly up.

i think this could get painful to watch. i remember watching WCW when they were going belly up. not a pleasant experience. i have no desire to repeat that.
also, i read a rumor that Flair might possibly sign with TNA, as well. i don't think it's confirmed, at this point.

Millionaire's Club part deux? Maybe I will tune into TNA for the humor value to watch it self-sabatoge it's self by signing the past to help them get into the future... Didn't work for WCW, didn't work for the WWF/E after the invasion angle when Vince got on his nostalgia kick. And it's definitely not gonna work now.

well, the old-timers did kinda help WCW....at least, for a little while. the NWO, for example, had it's share of geezers (DiBiase, who was already past his prime, Hogan, Nash & Hall weren't young).
though, this can't possibly serve any good purpose, whatsoever.

The original nWo, consisting of Hall, Nash, and Hogan worked, yes. But that's when they were fresh, slightly innovative, and saw something they had never seen before... A heel Hulk Hogan. However after awhile, as you know, they (the old timers) completely took over the main scene in WCW.

Two things...
1, re: Hogan) Why?
2) "I have better things/people to do"...a line everyone should use.

Jillie, you know I love you to do death and we go wayyyy back, but you really make it seem like you used to "DO" the Hulkster with that comment... Just a thought. With that in mind, re-read what I said above about me loving, and remember that when you strike me upside the head. Please and thank you.

As to why, TNA probably drove a dumptruck full of money up to his house. I mean, who of us can say if they threw 5 mil our way we wouldn't sign that deal in a heart beat? Can't blame Hogan, TNA though is another story.
