I don't consider "handling it well" to be swinging wildly into a throng of people. And I'm not entirely unsympathetic to Jericho's situation before- I just don't see how his dropping down to their level helped the situation along. There's a lot of fault there.

But even you have to admit that, regardless of whether you're in the right or not, you'd be pretty stupid to put yourself in any kind of similar situation again.

OK, so let's go back here a second. Let's play Choose your Own Adventure, everyone loved those books as a kid. Freak, you are Chris Jericho. You've just left the arena, trying to get to your rental car. All of a sudden, an angry mob(which is a fair description since they look the part) descends upon you. They look ready to riot, and the security looks to be as incompetent outside the show as they do when they are on television. What are you doing here? If you are put in Jericho's shoes, obviously you have taken the pacifist stand here and decried his actions, then what course of action do you take?

Now admittedly I'm larger than Chris Jericho, but if it's me, I'm putting my shoulders down and making a break for it. Because if I do what Jericho did, no matter what the assholes in the crowd may or may not have thought of doing, I'm the asshole who's going to jail.

You obviously never followed this story and are only going by what you see in your anti-Jericho colored glasses. The girl who Jericho struck and her boyfriend were the ones hauled off to jail, not Jericho because they had more sense than the incompetent security officers.

Ever see the movie Demolition Man? Remember what happened to those cops who tried to take your approach when handling Wesley Snipes' character? They got their asses handed to them. Just admit defeat and that you're wrong for once in your life.
