Word has come down that the WRF, a rival promotion of SNW, will be shutting down, and there are rumors running rampant there could be an influx of now former WRF talent coming over to SNW. While some wrestlers such as S.T. Strickler had already been working for both promotions(as the respective promoters didn't care where their wrestlers worked), there are others who were exclusive to WRF. "The Excellent Gordie" Gordon Heath, who's been recovering at his home, invited SNW.com to his house for a candid interview concerning the closure of the WRF. When asked who he would like to see in SNW, Gordie had this to say:
"I, along with George, Craig and Matt, worked with Thomas Kilik and Liam Yoshio. Both were great talents to work with when we were at the WRF, and we wouldn't mind seeing them come over to SNW. Chris Vallely, we admit we did have some problems with him. But we'd be willing to wipe the slate clean with him as long as he's willing to play ball."
However, there is one person that Gordie said has no chance in hell of coming over to SNW:
"This is one of the few times Codi Shane and I agree on anything, but we agree that there is no chance that Scotty Rix will be coming over to SNW. The guy has a history of being a locker room cancer, not to mention he does not do what is right for this business. I am going on record right now to say that Scotty Rix will never, under ANY circumstances, be wrestling in an SNW ring. And if he even tries to show up, our locker room will be ready to unite to kick his ass."

SNW Texas Champion Vincent Matthews was contacted for comment on the possible talent SNW stands to gain from the closing of WRF.
"To be honest I didn't even know who WRF is, however anyone who comes over from WRF needs to know one thing. This isn't some shallow pool, where you can just waltz in and expect to win. As long as I am champion, this is my jungle and I am the king. I saw what Gordie said, and quite frankly if anyone wanted to come over it doesn't bother me. I have proven I can and will whip anyone's ass, and WRF talent is no exception."

CIA and Sports Authority member Vinny Appice was asked about the news of WRF closing down and particularly Vance Bain:
"It's rough, you know. I got some good friends over there in WRF like Vance [Bain] and little Dougie and it sucks for them, it really does."
When asked whether or not he would try to recruit, he said:
"I love Vance like a brother. Who knows where I'd be right now if I hadn't met him. I've also gotten to know his brother over the years too. I also remember when FCW shut down and Vance didn't try to get me a job over at WRF. So, in short, I love him, I wish him nothing but the best, but now he gets to see what it's like."
When asked if Ronnie's recovery from stomach cancer could possibly take longer than expected and push back the Heaven and Hell festival bookings, he said:
"What the hell are you talking about?"

OOC: love them or hate them, WRF has pulled off one thing that most feds will never manage.....they've survived a hell of a long time, in one capacity or another. FCW never made it that long. RMW/NAWA never made it that long. SNW has a long ways to go to reach that level of long-term success. i'll shut up on my blabbering, before i piss off certain people here.

Wench added her two cents in saying she'd love the opportunity to work with some of the WRF members that weren't female. "It would be good to show case my talent against the likes of Thomas Kilik and Liam. It was an opportunity I wasn't given when I worked in the WRF as the owner didn't think it was right for women to face off against the men in a one on one match."
