On December 18, 2010, Sports Nutz Wrestling will present a new wrestling extravaganza to its PPV lineup, Desperate Measures, which is named for the match that will become a yearly tradition come the Christmas Season. When asked about the match, SNW co-owner "The Excellent Gordie" Gordon Heath had this to say:
"The Desperate Measures Match will feature 30 of its top wrestlers in a match similar to WWE's Royal Rumble. We're not going to try to insult anybody's intelligence here and act as if we're innovating professional wrestling, because that's not our intention with this match. However, we have heard numerous SNW fans say that their favorite PPV from WWE used to be the Royal Rumble, but in recent years it seems to have lost its luster as there aren't as many allies who could become enemies for one night entered into the match. Not to mention that the lineup of wrestlers isn't announced each week. We plan to bring that tradition back into Desperate Measures. Basically, we're hoping to take the Royal Rumble and improve upon it. Suffice to say, the wrestlers entered into the Desperate Measures match will draw numbers at random, then will enter the match according to the number they drew. The match itself starts with two wrestlers, then every two minutes, a new participant will enter the match. The only way to be eliminated is to be thrown over the top rope and BOTH feet touching the floor. The same will apply to female wrestlers who are entered into the match. I'm sure you've seen some of the WWE Divas Battle Royals, where their divas only have to be thrown through the ropes to be eliminated. No time for sissies here! Here in SNW, if the girls want to play with the boys, they will have to play by the same rules. The last wrestler remaining in the ring after all 29 other participants have been eliminated will go on to WrestleStock to face the SNW Texas Heavyweight Champion, whoever he or she may be."
