Last week, we had a promo deadline of Friday night at 11 PM Central. This week, I had moved it back up to Thursday night, yet still only see about four promos posted, and it's the day before the deadline. Now we've had both days as deadlines before, so this is what I'm wanting to know.
Does a Thursday deadline feel like you're being rushed? Obviously, if it's for a PPV, that's one thing as we don't have a show the week before the PPV, giving people ample time to promo. However, for weekly shows, should we go with a Friday deadline so that everyone doesn't feel as rushed? Or just stick with Thursdays?

Speaking not from an RPers standpoint(as I am temporarily not actively competing) and from the standpoint of a staffer and a writer, the Thursday deadline makes quite a bit of difference. It gives us all of Friday to vote and write, and then when Saturday comes along whatever we have left to finish we finish and we can get the show out to you. It also lets us post the card early, Saturday night or Sunday morning. So the time we save off of deadline we put towards giving it back to you the RPer.

I went ahead and voted for Thursday- I think it's a lot fairer and allows the shows to get up sooner.

Honestly, not to disagree with everyone else, but I had to pick Friday, because I'm pretty busy, both online and offline, and I could use the extra time. If the deadline was Friday, than so be it. I can manage, and I admit it would make me post sooner.
