NAWA to run A Weekend To Remember

Rumour is going around backstage at this weekend's 4 Up PPV that Adriana Samu is petitioning her fellow SNW roster-members about participating in the second annual NAWA's A Weekend To Remember show, saying that she's already received word from TNA and WWE that they will allow their roster to be involved in the tribute show.

Samu herself has mentioned that she is aiming to hold the show in Vancouver at the Scott Anderson Arena on the weekend of June 26 and 27, but also said that she is unable to confirm those dates absolutely at this time.

Samu said that this year's show will be a tribute to all the Canadian wrestlers that have died over the years, broadening the focus from the four wrestlers (Owen Hart, Chris Benoit, Scott Anderson and Andrew Martin) honoured last year.

All proceeds will once again benefit both Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) and Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) in both Canada and the United States, and the show will include inter-promotional wrestling matches as well as musical performances.

Several challenges have been issued by several SNW personlaties:

-The Sports Nutz have challenged WWE's The Miz and Chris Jericho.

-Matt Margera has challenged WWE's Undertaker to a Last Man Standing Match.

Also, APW wrestler and Going Sports Nutz Academy graduate, "The Showstopper" Shaun Kilgore, has challenged WWE's Randy Orton.

Wench has said she'd like to take on Samu herself in a match to show respect for her fellow womens competitor though she hasn't had a chance to talk with Samu about it yet.

CPR returns on a Weekend To Remember.

In a match that was suppossed to happen last year but was changed due to an injury. Four of wrestlings most intense athletes will square off in a tag match as CPR returns to action again to take on the team of AJ STYLES and SAMOA JOE. Last year Joe had to back out due to an injury but he has guaranteed that he will be in tip top condition to take on the canadians and walk out with the victory.

Then on Night 2 CPR has officially challenged SYCO BOY and DAVE aka the XTREME TEAM to dust off their wrestling gear and face them.

A Weekend to Remember

Last year, Adriana Samu’s North American Wrestling Alliance (NAWA) put on a show to honour four of her fallen Canadian comrades; Owen Hart, Scott “CGH” Anderson, Chris Benoit and Andrew “Test” Martin. It was dubbed “A Weekend to Remember,” and the two day gathering of inter-promotional wrestlers and musical acts the province of BC has seen certainly lived up to its name and raised almost $2 million for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) and Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) in both the United States and Canada.

This year, NAWA will be doing it again, this time expanding their homage to all Canadian wrestlers who are no longer with us. On June 26 and 27, Vancouver, British Columbia’s Scott Anderson Arena will once again play host to the second annual A Weekend to Remember.

Wrestlers from promotions all over North America and overseas will be invited to participate against each other, and the weekend will be littered with musical performances by bands from all genres.

All proceeds will once again benefit MADD and SADD in both the United States and Canada.

Levetation, being both an alum of FCW and NAWA, made it clear that he would love to participate to preserve the memory and celebrate the life of his fallen mentor. And there was no question who he wanted to face, another former NAWA superstar who learnt under CGH's tutelage, Bobby Eaton III. Both are said to be very excited over the upcoming event.
