Mike LaFontaine is already in the ring. "Thunder Struck" by AC DC hits the PA System. Alex Daniels comes out sporting an orange headband, orange leather vest with a white thunder bolt on the back. Orange trunks with a white lightning bolt on the back, orange wrist bands, orange kneepads, white Adidas running shoes and orange kickpads.
Mark Followill: Well we've heard a lot about this young man, "Kid Thunder" Alex Daniels.
Jason Martel: Soon to be the greatest wrestling superstar of all time.
Mark Followill: And don't take Jason's word for it. Just ask Alex himself.
Daniels struts down to the ring fixing his hair and showboating for the crowd. Daniels gets on the apron and then grabs the top rope and jumps over it. Daniels lands on his feet then spins around and fires a kick up into the air. Daniels asks for and gets a mic.
Alex Daniels: Allow me to introduce myself. I am the most electrifying, most shocking and most jaw dropping wrestler that is walking the earth today. I am not just Alex Daniels, I am Kid Thunder, and like an angry and violent storm I will strike and rage through this company until I get to the top. Fontaine, you need to go back to Quebec while you still can, because you might just find yourself getting THUNDERSTRUCK.
Daniels raises his arms in the air before throwing the mic away as the crowd boos him out of the building. Daniels takes off his headband and vest than passes them to a ring side attendant. Referee Mike Croft calls for the bell as Daniels and LaFontaine hook up. LaFontaine applies a headlock.
Mark Followill: Let's see if Alex Daniels can back up his big mouth.
Jason Martel: Correction. That's "Kid Thunder" Alex Daniels.
Mark Followill: Please.
Daniels counters LaFontaine's headlock into a wristlock. LaFontaine reverses into his own. Daniels kicks him in the leg then counters into his own wristlock. Daniels smiles with a cocky grin as LaFontaine reverses again then lifts Daniels up into the air then throws him into a corner. LaFontaine moves in but Daniels slides his upper body between the ropes to the outside causing the ref to back LaFontaine away. Daniels comes out of the corner and hits LaFontaine with a hard back elbow. LaFontaine falls to the mat as Daniels taps his elbow with a cocky smile. Daniels waits for LaFontaine to get to his feet. When he does, Daniels jumps up and delivers a quick leg lariat. Daniels gets on his knees and flexes his arms. Daniels gets up and grabs LaFontaine. Daniels lifts LaFontaine up in a Wrist Clutch Fisherman Suplex then drives him down in a Fisherman Buster.
Mark Followill: Daniels covers... ONE...TWO...THREE!
Daniels gets up as the ref raises his arm. Daniels goes to a corner then strikes a pose for any possible cameras as the crowd treats him to tremendously loud boos. Daniels jumps off the turnbuckle then gets a mic.
Alex Daniels: Let it be known now, that when Kid Thunder steps in a ring, you can expect one thing... electricity like never before. SNW, take a good long look at the new franchise in your company. But don't worry. I'll be back week in and week out, because SNW you have now been THUNDERSTRUCK.
Mark Followill: Impressive debut for "Kid Thunder" Alex Daniels as he makes short work of Mike LaFontaine.
Jason Martel: It's safe to say that Kid Thunder is a favorite to win the SNW Texas Championship at 4 Up.
Mark Followill: Right now, let's take you to a press conference held earlier today with Max "Levetation" O'Haire.
The cameras cut to the backstage area with Levetation, from waist up, standing in front of a SNW Onslaught banner. A graphic saying "RECORDED EARLIER" pops up on the screen. Levetation has a look of emotionless across his face, as he looks dead on into the camera with his ice-cold blue eyes.[/color]
Levetation: Wednesday, April 9th, 2008, I made it known that my future as not only a competitor in SNW but in this industry as a whole is up in the air. Right now, I’m on the top of my game. I’m physically and mentally healthier than I’ve ever been in my life. Back home, I’ve got a wife and my baby daughter waiting, and they mean the world to me. With the investments and the smart decisions I’ve made with my money since the old FCW days, I could not work another day in my life and live comfortably and then some.
At the same time, I’ve made a huge career comeback, winning matches and championships once again, something I never thought I’d be doing last summer when I was laid up with two bad knees and emotionally unstable for a variety of reasons. At one point, I was thinking about self-committing myself to an institution, I really was. But thanks to my family who loves me more than I’ll ever understand why, the undying love of my fans, and of course the friends I’ve made over the years in this business and elsewhere… I got better. You all gave me the strength to rediscover everything about myself that I thought I lost.
So what did I do? I made my comeback not only in the ring, but also in life. And that’s why it pains me to say this. I have to leave this part of my life behind me. They were the best years of my professional life, but it’s time to move on from the wrestling business. I just want to go out on the top of my game. Never in my life have I asked for much from anybody, but please, just let me have this one thing. Thank you.
Levetation picks up his duffel bag and slowly walks away with his back facing the camera, towards the parking garage of the arena, not looking back once as the scene comes to a close.
