The scene opens up with a rather lax looking Johnny Moxie, who’s decked out in a black and white suit and grinning as he’s talking to a brunette and really laying it in on her. Finally, he mumbles something to her, hands her what appears to be hotel room keys or something and she walks off. He grins though, as he turns his attention to the camera now.
Johnny: Well, what do you know? Simon and I said we get a shot at the Texas Tag titles, we said that we would rise to the top of this division and show all you fans here in Texas and those watching around the world what tag team wrestling was really about and by god……..we did it. We beat three teams, including the Xtreme Team…..Dave and Syco Boy, two of the more decorated tag team stars in this company and staked a claim to the Texas Tag titles and I’d say we made that claim as firm as we possibly could have. Now we face Death Sentence at The Main Event for the tag titles and really……….
He shakes his head a and shrugs a shoulder.
Johnny: Am I supposed to be scared of these guys? Am I supposed to be trembling in boots when I hear the names Cyanide and Soul Reaper, because I’m not. Now, I’m no stranger to you two at all. You were both here during my last stint here in SNW and you’ve both really been here since the company started. You’re two time Texas Tag Team Champions, Soul Reaper is a former Texas Champion and Cyanide, you’re a two time Von Erich Memorial Champion, but that don’t bother me, man. Look at me, do I look afraid of someone’s resume? Do I look afraid of what someone has written down on a piece of paper?
He snickers and folds his arms over his chest now and grins at the camera.
Johnny: Hell, a few pieces of paper would probably stand a better chance against Si and I in that ring. They may actually win, unlike you two. Now, I know that this week……Onslaught…….isn’t going to be a tag team match, it’s not going to be for the titles, but it’s big, it’s pivotal in my mind all the same. It’ll be me against you, Cyanide. One on one with nothing but pride on the line, but this match really goes a lot deeper than that for me.
He pauses a moment, looks down at the floor and then turns his attention back to the camera.
Johnny: You see, I’m no stranger to you at all, Cyanide. I’m not foreign to what you bring to the table, it’s not like I haven’t seen you in action before. If anything, the matches that we’ve had in the past have helped me get a look at you up close and personal. But make no mistake about it, Cyanide, this match isn’t for singles gold, it’s not for any gold at all. But what this match gives me the opportunity to do is to show the world how I stack up with you.
He seems to chuckle a bit as he shakes his head briefly.
Johnny: Just like Simon and I did at Guys Night Out last week, I will walk down to that ring like I have everything to prove and hell…..I really do. You’ve been in this company for years, Cyanide. You’ve been considered a staple of the tag division and you have the two Texas Tag titles to prove it. But the times they are a-changing, Cy. Need proof? Look at the way Simon and I dominated that tag team turmoil match last week, watch at how we took apart The Alley Ratz and Xtreme Team, two tandems with deep history in this company and threw them aside like yesterday’s garbage! Well……to be honest……..
A shitty smirk forms on his face and he shrugs his shoulders again before lowering his arms to his side and putting his hands in his pockets.
Johnny: That’s kind of what they are. For a while now, the tag division has become stale. It’s had the same players in it for so long. Just look at the last defense you had, Cy. The Alley Ratz? Does anyone even know how many Texas Tag Team titles matches those two have had? I’d be willing to bet it’s above ten, even though I doubt those two can even count that high! The fact of the matter, Cy, what I’m getting at here is you know…….maybe Simon and I haven’t teamed up a lot here in SNW. Maybe we haven’t been together for years and have the supposed chemistry that teams like you and Reaper have. But you know what?
He bites his lower lip for a second, then grins like a madman.
Johnny: That just means that we’re new blood, that just means that we are a breath of fresh air in the tag division here in SNW and make no mistakes about it, that’s just what we are! We’re not here to team up for years and years and become stagnant like many of the teams here in SNW are. We’re here to change the Texas Tag Team title picture, we’re here to make a change for the better and take this company into the future right now!
He points down toward the floor with his right index finger and tilts his head at the camera.
Johnny: And that will begin when we make a clean sweep of you and Reaper at Onslaught in our singles matches. Because you know what, Cy? You may have done the same thing, you may have had one on one preview matches with the Alley Ratz before their title shot, too…….but in case you haven’t gotten it by now, we’re not the Alley Ratz. Hell, Simon and I are unlike any team in this company today and come Onslaught, we WILL continue our dominance by beating you and Reap, because let’s be real here, if there’s any team in SNW that represents the past, if there’s any two people in the Texas Tag title picture at the moment where Si and I can really show the fans around the world what we mean when we say we’re changing things for the better in this division, it’s against you two.
