The scene opens up to the image of Simon Sensation, sitting at a green felt covered table with a brown button up on and a pair of jeans. He flashes a smirk at the camera and shakes his head as we open up on him.
Simon: Wow, after hearing almost everyone in this 4 Up tournament speaking, I don’t really know what to say. Well, who in the hell am I kidding? I’m Simon Sensation, I always know what to say.
He snickers and shakes his head as he folds his arms over his chest and looks down at the table for several moments.
Simon: This tournament may seem brutal, this tournament may even seem alien to me. I wasn’t around last year when this thing took place and I can’t say that I’ve ever been in anything like this before in my career, which is really saying something. There’s going to be weapons galore in this match. Depending on where I end up being eliminated in that battle royal, I could end up in a match where light tubes will get swung around like swords. Hell, I could end up in a match where barbed wire twists and turns like perverted vegetation as far as the eyes can see. This tournament has brutal written all over it, but then again while the nature of the matches and the brutality of things may seem new to me, the idea behind this thing certainly isn’t.
He shakes his head and takes a few deep breaths as he reaches over and grabs a glass of water to take a sip of it from the table.
Simon: No, for someone who grew up around the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas like myself, the ideas behind this tournament and all of the matches in it are all too familiar. All too common really in every day life here in Sin City. You see, when I think of this tournament, I don’t think of it in the manner everyone else does. To me, 4 Up reminds me of well……a green felt card table such as this very one that I’m sitting down at right now.
He pats the top of the table with his right hand and the camera bends down briefly to get a good look at the table.
Simon: And all sixteen of the people that have been entered in to the ruckus, including myself, are like players that have laid down some chips to be dealt into the whole thing. And you have people of all shapes, styles and backgrounds, but here at the table just as in that ring for 4 Up, it won’t matter at all. See, the ones who excel, the people that really cash in and win big in a hand of poker are the kinds of people that can roll with the punches, you know? The people that can make the best out of any hand that they get dealt. And without any doubt, there’s a lot of hands that I could get dealt in this match.
He shakes his head a few times and grimaces at the camera.
Simon: But the thing about me that you people here in SNW, particularly all fifteen of you that I’m going to be facing in this tournament needs to realize and if you don’t by now, then you sure as hell will when we step into that ring for that battle royal and especially if you’re unlucky enough to get into the same second round match as me…….it’s that I’m probably one of the best poker players that you’ll ever meet. When I first sit at the table, I look at my opposition like I’m doing now with all fifteen of you and I see what they look like, I hear what they have to say, if anything and then, well…….the betting begins.
He smirks at the camera and holds his glass up for a few seconds, hovering it above the table.
Simon: And I know that some of the fools in the match, especially, will come out of the gate in the battle royal, laying as many chips down as they can, expecting to hit it big quickly. Well, that’s just not me. I could be one of the last four standing in this battle royal or I could be one of the first four eliminated. It really makes no difference to me because you know what? I’m not going to lay all of my chips down at one for this and go for broke. That’s the mistake that so many people make when they’re sitting at a table such as this. They waste all of their chips on the first few hands played that when the game really gets going and the fun really begins, they fold like a lawn chair under Rosie O’Donnell’s ass.
He chuckles and looks at the camera as he raises an eyebrow.
Simon: Well, that’s not me. I live for the thrill of the game and the first few hands played can be big, yeah, but I look at it as a feeling out process. The first few hands is when I can look at everyone sitting down at the table with me and see what their strategy is, what they’re gonna bet and when. But when things really get going, that’s my favorite part of the game. The second round matches in this tournament, the light tube deathmatch, thumbtacks, ladders and chairs match plus the barbed wire match and chain match…….whatever one I end up in will be like the middle of a poker game.
He takes a deep breath and smirks at the camera.
Simon: With people falling by the wayside and running low on chips. Mostly everyone will end up broke and walking away from the table, but you know what? It’s during this time that I shine. See, it’s all about strategy in the middle of a poker game, and this tournament is no exception. Just like I’m not going to go betty crazy amounts of chips during the battle royal, I’m not going to go doing crazy stuff in whatever four way second round match I end up in. It’s just stupid and foolish to think that doing so could get anyone anywhere. No, I plan on betting smart regardless of whatever match I end up in. I want to throw enough out there on the table to get by, but also have enough left at the end to hit it big in the Cage of Death, which in all honesty, is like the winner’s table of this tournament.
He nods his head a few times and grins.
Simon: It’s where all of the sharks, where all of the high rollers are going to end up and by god…..what’s a winner’s table without me? See, just like I have it in my mind, just like I know how to get through the first few stages of 4 Up, I know what it takes to glide into the Cage of Death and kick ass. You see, THIS is where I’m going to want to put all of my chips down on the table……
As if it accentuate his point, he throws down a few chips onto the table.
Simon: This where I’m going to go balls out, take no prisoners and by the time that Cage of Death is over, all of my opponents will have busted out, fallen by the wayside while I’ll be left standing with the sweetest prize that the pot riding on this tournament holds, the Bad Blood Championship. Heh, and if any of you fools thinks that you got what it takes to survive this tournament better than I do, if any of you think for even a second that you can take me down, you obviously have no idea what hand you’ve been dealt with me being in this thing.
He shakes his head with a grimace.
Simon: Trust me, by the end of this tournament you will ALL find out why I’m the ONLY king……
He smirks as he lifts up a playing card from the table and flicks it at the camera, causing it to click on contact and the scene to go black.
Simon: In this ENTIRE deck of jokers!
Simon: Wow, after hearing almost everyone in this 4 Up tournament speaking, I don’t really know what to say. Well, who in the hell am I kidding? I’m Simon Sensation, I always know what to say.
