The scene opens with a relaxed Chris Angel, sitting back comfortably in his chair, watching the television screen intently. He ignores the camera man until the video was done, then switches it off and looks up, the usual grin on his face.
"My, that was entertaining. I don't think I've ever seen Jiminy Jackson so conflicted. Usually he has a lot of anger to spew, but this time around he seemed rather...I don't know, different. Composed, less brash and without the typical swagger. There was a tinge of humility to him I never thought possible.
But you know what, it's good. Once in a while, it's good to take a step back and re-evaluate everything you've done. You've been on a roll Jackson and frankly, the whole time you were acting like a dick. You thought you deserved to win the Balance of Power match but you didn't. I mean, why does everyone, upon losing, rant about how they should have won? It doesn't make sense. If you won, you won. If you lost, it just means you kinda suck. Do we have ghost writers scripting our every move? Is this the freaking Truman show?
Right, so I digress, sue me. I'd like to think that as Bad Blood AND Texas Champion I have certain luxuries.
But, back to the topic at hand.
You and I, we've faced off before, we're no strangers to battles but our fights were always trumped for something else. It was either you being a bitch about winning a title or letting a bitch win a title, it doesn't matter which. At the end of it all, Jackson, it really boils down to attitude and let's face it, your attitude was bad. You come on strong, you know, as the Modern Day Hero but you've done everything un-hero like.
And when you weasel your way into a title match, with yours truly, you lost. And then you have that opportunity to win an official right to face me and you had the wool pulled over your eyes. You beat Clinton, again, sure, but was the victory sweet? Did you get what you hoped for? No. And while we're on that subject Jackson, maybe you should consider this; was your victory against Clinton earned, or was it staged considering the outcome had already been decided? Does that taint your win?
I don't know. It's hard to tell what goes on in your head. In fact, it's hard to tell what goes on in the heads of your two tag alongs, Tyler and Andy. But I'm with you on this one. I don't really see what purpose they have being associated with us, in this match but hey, who's going to whine to management eh? As far as I'm concerned, Tyler can go back and do whatever the hell he wants. Personally, I'm not as frustrated at him as Clinton was, but I am rather pissed, because when everyone was taking hits at this guy, I stood up for him and I got nothing for it. Instead, he turned around, changed his name and started acting like a jerk. I suppose if we looked at the match being a theme match, then it would make sense. The three biggest jerks minus Vincent Matthews versus the...WWA alumni.
Yes, that sounds interesting doesn't it. Chris P, Jack Clinton and myself are no strangers to one another. We've fought wars against one another and together. And to tell you the truth, this pairing, tugs at a nostalgic string in my heart.
It has been so long since I've been in that federation, so long since I built it with my hands. And now, it's endearing to see three of the most promising of the survivors making it big and forging a new era in the SNW.
And with every new era, comes the demand for a new Champion. And baby you're looking at him. Your wish is to face me, your desire is to beat me, specifically me, tonight. And while I welcome the challenge, I have to tell you Jackson, it's not going to happen.
It's not going to happen because not only am I smarter than you, I'm also stronger and faster. And if you need any prove, look no further than the two pieces of gold on my shoulders that you couldn't take from me.
Lightning doesn't strike twice buddy and sometimes, lightning doesn't strike at all. You hear the thunder, listen to the roar, but there is no finality. Thunder rolls away and just like that, at Guy's Night Out, will you and your two tea party friends roll away.
You make the biggest noise but it doesn't matter.
Your chance, Jackson was given and you let it slip through your fingers. You will not get another opportunity like this again, not while I am Champion.
And while I am Champion, Jackson, I will only re-iterate this. You couldn't take me out before I won gold and now that I have two of them, you will never, ever beat me."
