Scene opens in front of a Guy’s Night Out banner. Brenda Price is standing with “Everyone’s Favourite Canadian Lady” Adriana Samu, “The Assassin” Rory Kotch , “The Other Girl” Petrina Rotchester, and their manager, Xander Nova.
I’m here with Y Kores, who are coming off a huge win at Wrestlestock II!
The ladies all look at each other and chuckle.
It certainly wasn’t the huge win we expected to get, Brenda. But I guess a win is a win, eh?
Seemed like a waste o’ time if ye ask me.
The other two look at Petrina disparagingly, as if they’ve had this discussion before.
Ve could have been pulled from the card altogether. True, it seems tedious now to think ve spent all that time gettink my darlink Xander ready for the match, but at least ve had the chance to compete in front of our fans.
Well, it was kinda fun beatin’ those guys up, I guess. I still think it ain’t a coincidence the Sports Authority got beat up, though.
Adriana rolls her eyes and Rory shakes her head.
What do you mean by that, Petrina?
Well, ain’ it obvious? They couldn’ beat us. Week after week, they ‘ad to resort to cheatin’ and conivin’ to get the upper ‘and, an’ they knew that we ‘ad ‘em figured out. They didn’ wanna lose to a rabble ‘o’ women and a crippled old guy…
Xander and Rory shoot Petrina a look.
…so they purposely confronted The Destruction Crew so they’d have an excuse t’ miss the match.
Brenda stares at Petrina, not sure what to say. Adriana jumps in to save the interview.
But that point is moot now, anyway. SNW management has seen fit to allow us to move away from this little series. We appreciated the challenge, and we certainly wouldn’t mind actually getting our hands on the Sport Authority to finish what was started, but we are equally grateful for the opportunity to continue broadening our horizons.
Brenda seems to have recovered.
And broadening your horizons you will do – Y Kores is set to face the Alley Ratz for the #1 Contendership for the SNW Texas Tag Team Championships.
It seems all our hard work has paid off – two grueling feuds with two esteemed stables have caught the attention of the SNW decision makers and have landed us where we aspire to be – in the title hunt!
Ve have been successful everyvhere ve have been, and SNW vill be no exception. All three of us have proven in the past that ve are more than capable of vinnink and retainink titles. Ve now have the opportunity to do the same in SNW. Rest assured, ve vill not sqvander it.
The Alley Ratz are certainly no strangers to Y Kores.
We have been friends and foes in the past, and we know each other well.
But here’s the catch – we know who we’ll be facin’. They haven’t got a clue which combination of us ladies they’ll be standin’ across the ring from. Will it be Dria’s speed and agility and Rory’s power and technical prowess? Will Dria’s skills be complimented by my brawlin’ style? Or will they face the championship team of brains, brawn and balls in Rory and m’self? They won’ know til the bell rings, an’ we are countin’ on that slight advantage to catapult us to victory.
Of course, if you win, you will have a chance to face Death Sentence for their titles. While Alley Ratz seem to be an evenly matched team for you, the same cannot necessarily be said for the Texas Tag Team Champions.
When are we not at a disadvantage? Adriana’s one o’ the smallest wrestlers on the roster, an’ Rory ‘n I might be tall for ladies, but we’re not anywhere near’s big as half the wrestlers here.
We don’t want to get too ahead of ourselves, though, Brenda.
Adriana seems to have directed the statement as much at Petrina as Brenda.
Beating The Alley Ratz will be no picnic and we need to focus on preparing for this contest first. We expect Eddy and Twitch to bring their A Game to this contest – we know they won’t be taking us lightly because as spacey as they seem sometimes this is not our first encounter. They will be prepared and we need to be even more so if we want to come out on top. Once we have secured our position in the title race we will focus more singularly on the Champs.
But that’s not to say ve are disregardink them. Cyanide, Soul Reaper – ve have you in our sites, don’t you forget it. Ve vill be focusink on the Alley Ratz for the time beink, but ve vill be keepink a close eye on you as vell. Ve expect nothink less from you.
Well this week’s match should certainly be interesting, as it always is when a title shot is on the line. Best of luck to you, ladies…
