Scene opens outside the Dallas/Ft. Worth International Airport. Foot traffic appears to have returned to normal, after the Christmas and New Year's Holidays. Planes are coming in & leaving at "normal" levels. Cabs can be seen taking & dropping people off at a bit of a slower pace.
From the main entrance, Super Vader is seen walking out. He's about ready to get into a nearby limo, that had been waiting for him. A young looking man approaches approaches Super Vader.
Unknown Man
Super Vader, may I have a few moments of your time?
Super Vader
I'm not doing autographs at the moment, kid. Had a long flight.
Unknown Man
I'm not a fan. I'm actually interning for SNW as an interviewer.
Super Vader
For real?
Unknown man
Seriously. Apparently, nobody else could be bothered to show up.
My name's Tim Jacobs.
Super Vader
Might as well get in the limo. This is probably one of the few times you'll get to ride.
Both men get into the limo, as the driver finishes packing the luggage.
Tim Jacobs
Wow! They've actually got a pretty big TV, back here! I always knew that some limos would have TV's, but nothing that large.
Super Vader
(to driver)
Man, can you just drive us around, for a bit?
Driver
Sure thing.
Super Vader
So, what'd you want to talk about, kid?
Tim Jacobs
For starters, I should ask about your title defense coming up against Katrina at No Holds Barred.
Super Vader
Usual questions, I can assume. Well, I could go on & on about how much respect I have for Kat & how we're going to have a hell of a great match. But, I think I'm going to be brutally honest. The two of us will be fighting like cats and dogs in order to call ourselves the Von Erich Memorial Champion. We're fighting for the right to call ourselves Champion.
No matter what line of work you're in, there's a few things that hold true. Doesn't matter if you're shining shoes, replacing urinal cakes, shoveling s**t, horse inciminater or athlete. You have to strive to be the best at what you do. The better you are, the more money you take in. The better you are, the more attention you gain. The better you are, the more appreciated you are.
If you can't do things right, or if you're a lazy piece of crap, do you think anyone's going to care about you?
Tim Jacobs
Not in the least.
Super Vader
Exactly. Take a look at the Detroit Lions, last season. 0-16. I don't think anyone ever pulled that off, before last season. The Lions became the laughing stock of the NFL, of the sports world! They were so horrible, a team filled with cripples would've beaten them.
Nobody wants to be like that. Nobody wants to be that pathetic. When you get a major championship that's on the line, wether it be the NFL, MLB or pro wrestling, you need to be at your best.
Kat & I are going to be bringing our best with us. Losing is not an option for either one of us. We both want to win this match in decisive fashion.
Winning the match, and more importantly, being declared the SNW Von Erich Memorial Champion is a huge deal. The prestige alone makes this match worth the efforts. With the prestige comes a little bit of pull in the back. As the champion, you get some say in who challenges for your title. You get some input on when & where you get to defend the title. As champion, you even have some say in what kind of match you're willing to fight in.
Most importantly, being champion means one major thing.......MONEY! As long as you've got the Gold, you command a bigger paycheck. It's a rather sizeable increase in pay, too. In this economy, having more money is truly important.
Tim Jacobs
With that said, should the SNW fans expect you to do everything possible to keep the Von Erich Memorial Championship?
Super Vader
Whatever I deem necessary, Tim. Trust me, Kat will be doing everything possible to take the Gold away from me. There's only one question that's left unanswered: Who wants this more?
At No Holds Barred, you'll get that answer.
The view goes to the outside of the limo, which is driving around in a nice part of town. The limo drives out of range of the camera as the scene comes to an end.
