We cut to a half busy street in a city. We pan to left and there’s a sign on the ground with a fountain in the background. The sign reads “River Park,” and leaning against the “K” and staring at the fountain is Soul Reaper. Way off in the background is a movie theatre and a parking complex, but we focus on Reaper. He steps off of the “K” and comes a little toward the camera. You can hear cars go by and a bus stop and let off passengers behind the camera. After the bus leaves, Reaper begins to speak.
”This is my home. Fresno, California. Back in the distance is the theatre that I saw the most movies in. The parking complex over there also has memories. There is a Best Buy and a Target over in that direction that have taken quite a bit of my money, and across the street there are more things that I came to enjoy. Coming home for the Holidays is always bitter sweet, because well… its boring. Besides this small area of land, there isn’t a whole lot that this place has to offer and to me, well, I just can’t find very much enjoyment. It’s one of the reasons that I bust my ass in this business, because I want people to identify with somebody famous from their era. Sure there are old timer folks around that used to be famous, but nobody talks about them anymore… nobody cares who they are. My ultimate goal is to break through and give this nothing town something to be proud of, somebody to give them hope that they don’t have to just be random nobodies. I’ve blazed many trails in the wrestling industry and I’ve done a lot of outrageous things to accomplish my goal. So it should be no surprise that I find myself once again fighting for the top prize of yet another company. I’ve held the world titles of FHT, ELITE, UHW, P2PW, OGIF, and the ever horrible WRF. The biggest names around all know who I am and have either faced me or in UHW’s case, ducked me in order to save some face. And don’t get all high and mighty about what to say either, because quite frankly those kinds of people will not and should never be given a voice in the first place. They strive on the glass ceiling idea, but the way they organize things, its not a glass ceiling, but a thick concrete ceiling with layers of thick steel covering the bottom and top so NOBODY can be given even the slightest chance of getting through and taking their spots. So I say, to hell with them, I can work around that kind of stupidity.
So I find myself in SNW, oh yes, Sports Nutz Wrestling. And to be honest, I’m under the suspicion that those morons were trying to hold me back from the start. My record wasn’t enough for them, so I had to take a backseat to Hellspawn and the few weak and feeble competitors that tried to challenge him. Finally, they figured a way to get me fired and try to injure me at the same time to really get me out of their hair… but I never go out like some punk. I fought and clawed my way into their very domains and put them all in their low level places and went about my business. Well then we came to the last pay per view event, where the opportunity arose that I could get a shot at the title, but before I could go ahead, I was told that I should take a loss to let somebody else have a shot. And a lot of good that did, because well that guy is now resting in some hospital room somewhere, because he couldn’t just leave me alone long enough to get his shot. So.. I destroyed his weak ass and took what SHOULD have been mine since day one. And now, here we are, another pay per view event rolls around and I am going to be in the ring against a man that has proven to be a force in the last few months, Silvus. Now a guy like Silvus, I can respect. No bull, works hard, and can take the fight to you if he needs to. I know him from UHW and while, he didn’t fair as well against me as he would have liked, but that’s the past. Now he’s the Texas champion. He holds the top prize here, and I think its about time that I gave myself a damned good Christmas gift.
Silvus, you may be a bad ass, but you can’t contend with what I bring to the table. I’ve been in more high profile matches around the world than you’ve dreamt about and this match between you and I is just another day at the office for me. There are no goose bumps, no butterflies in the stomach, no just a desire to take that belt from you and put myself in the highest position this company has right now. Like I said, we’ve had battles before, but those days never really meant anything, because there was nothing on the line. This time around, its very different and you’ll find that the fight I bring will be harder and faster than the ones you’ve already encountered. I’m a different fighter when theres gold on the line. I am like a run away bulldozer, taking down everything in my path. And believe me, I’ve got more than enough gas running in this engine to go through you and still be good for defense after defense. And while you may be cryptic, and very cunning and just a little strange, don’t expect to get the best of me with your silly games or tricks. I was playing those games with people well before you even thought of lacing up those boots and putting your body on the line in that ring.
Something tells me that this is going to be a fight to the very bitter end between us, and when its all done and gone and the dust settles down, there can only be one left standing. And that one will be me. Bleeding, sweating, and struggling for air, I will stand victorious over your broken down body and I will claim that belt and raise it high over my head for the world to see. And after that night, I’m going to come back home here, and I’m going to parade this belt around to every place I can think of and show the people that I brought it back for them. So that they could see and feel it for themselves. You see, this isn’t just about me and you fighting over some belt, Silvus. Its about me fighting for a city, so that they can find something to believe in, something to be proud of, something to tell stories about and something to live for. The way I see it, we are one.. and when you and I step into that ring and put on the best fight of our lives, you may need to remember that you’re taking on a whole city of hard working and tough sons of bitches. We are more than ready to take you on Silvus… and we are more than ready to take your gold. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got an autograph session in the Border’s over there and then I’m going to go catch a movie for old time’s sake. Until next time Silvus and SNW… I bid you farewell.”[/color]
Reaper turns away from the camera and makes his way around both the sign and fountain and walks through the grassy area toward the parking area and we finally lose sight of him as he rounds a corner. The camera pans back around to the street as cars continue to go by and we slowly fade to black.
