Scene opens on “Everyone’s Favourite Canadian Lady” Adriana Samu’s tour bus. Kaos is sleeping in the background and Adriana is sitting in the lounging area with Juno wrapped around her shoulders. The same mysteriously familiar female camerawoman is back, fiddling with the camera to make sure she gets the shot right.
Are we rolling?
The camera nods and Adriana settles in, getting her promo face on.
Well, week one in the SNW has been completed. What have I accomplished? I have managed to piss of most of the roster. I have sparked and old rivalry that I thought was buried. I have debuted in the ring, dismally, I admit, but it was a debut nonetheless.
Now, I am scheduled for my first actual one-on-one match this week on Onslaught in Dallas against EnigmaH.
Throughout the rest of the scene, Adriana pronounces “Enigmah” with an audible “h” on the end.
It seems EnigmaH is a perfect match to show off my style. She is a world class gymnast, besides her accomplishments in the wrestling ring. On first glance, it would seem this would be a spot-monkey’s dream match.
However, what everyone seems to forget all the time is high-risk is not my forte. I was trained by the Harts in Calgary in the legendary Dungeon. My forte is bone-jarring mat wrestling, tendon-snapping submission wrestling, and mind-numbing technical wrestling. It’s true, I am an adept high-risk wrestler, but that’s only out of necessity. I don’t care how good you are, you can’t make someone twice your size submit. I don’t often get to wrestle people my own size, and when I do I like to show the world what I’m REALLY made of.
EnigmaH, you are only an inch shorter and 10 pounds heavier – we are essentially equals. Only, you have one amazing disadvantage – you can’t match me on the ground. Sure, we could spar all day and night, jumping off turnbuckles, twisting and flipping in the air. The difference between us is if I fall, I always have the voices of Stu, Bret, Owen and Chris in my head, telling me which submission move would benefit me best right now. You? If you’re knocked down mid-flight, EnigmaH, you are doomed. What do you have to counter me with?
In the end, this match is going to be simple. EnigmaH, you might get the better of me for a while, but one can only hit so many high-risk manoeuvres in a row, as I am a living testament to. As soon as your feet touch the mat, I am going to have the upper hand and I am going to make you tap out. That is, of course, if my Tornado Kick doesn’t knock you seven ways from Sunday first.
I look forward to meeting you in the ring, EnigmaH. I hope we can give the fans the match they will never forget. It’s just too bad for you that they’ll never forget my hand being raised in my first official debut match for SNW.
Adriana stares at the camera intensely before the camerawoman catches on that the promo is over. Adriana rolls her eyes as some suspiciously foreign curse words are heard from behind the camera and it finally cuts out. However, the audio is still on. It’s Adriana’s voice we here.
The Bryan Adams High School, eh? He was just inducted into the Canadian Walk of Fame. Well, it was nice of him to donate his time to those poor kids in Dallas to build them a school. Most celebrities do stuff like that in Africa, but why not do it in your own neighbour’s country? What a nice guy he is…
There is static as the scene finally ends.
