We open to a warehouse interior. It's dimly lit from the sun shining through the windows at the top of the building. There is a ring set up in this warehouse with a ladder standing in the middle of the ring. The camera zooms out and pans around a little to see Cyanide sitting atop another ladder outside of the ring.
You know, I find it sincerely pathetic that no matter how many times its disproven in this industry, people continue to try and say size makes a difference. Even in this day in age, where some of the smallest people are doing some of the biggest things, people still seem to think that the bigger folks are the baddest, hardest hitting, or even more talented than someone who is smaller than he is. You see, even before I departed this country to train in Japan, this family always let it be known that size doesn't make a damn bit of difference. When it comes down to it, all that matters is talent, will power, desire, and the drive to succeed. This week, on Onslaught, I will be facing off against a man who is bigger than me, but you don't see me driving to drive that home in every phrase. The fact of the matter is that I just don't care one iota for it. I've faced bigger than you and I've beaten on a few of them so badly that they were later afraid to fight me again. To be honest, it doesn't matter if you think you're stronger or if you think that I'm faster than you. Those are just traits we have... one characteristic of ourselves. That ONE thing, is not and will never be enough to do anything with in this business. Just because I can run up this ladder faster than you doesn't take away the fact that you could just as easily jump up and pull me away from my goal. The same can be said if you were to power me down from the ladder... I could pop up and just blast the ladder out from under you and bring you crashing down in a heap. I just don't get it. Why do you people put so much stock into a person's size?
Cyanide climbs down off of the ladder and then walks to the ring and rolls in. He stands up and walks to the ladder there and looks up at it, and then he rests a hand on it and speaks again.
The fact of the matter is that I will have the advantage, but not because I'm smaller or quicker than you Dark Sun. Its simply because I am better versed in the art of the ladder match. You see, in Japan there are many ways to learn this business. And sometimes that means taking the roads that lead to the more hardcore sides of wrestling. There aren't very many people that get more hardcore than the Japanese, so I've been in my fair share of ladder matches with numerous variations. Ladder matches with barbwire, or ladder matches that meant your career, as well as the old ladder match for the title belts. Some you win, some you lose, but every one is a learning process. Sun, on Onslaught, you will learn that while you may be big, and strong, and ugly like me... you are not on my level. I've trained for years to perfect my skills at every aspect of the wrestling business. To you, this Von Erich Memorial title might not mean much... seeing as how you just now noticed that it might be a stepping stone to the top. To me, this is just the first step to the making it to the top of the mountain. Every piece of gold in wrestling means something, don't you understand? It could be the lowest on the totem pole, but it leads somewhere. A lot of you punks seem to have forgotten that. Well while you seem to only really want vengeance on Omerta, meanwhile all I want... no, all I care about, is my chance to win some championship gold. And I'll be damned if some undeserving, unwanting, under achieving wannabe monster takes that away from me.
Cyanide looks up to the top of the ladder once again and then goes to the corner. He hikes himself to a sitting position on the top rope and looks down before talking again.
Dark Sun, as far as I'm concerned, you may as well just be another face and name that will be a forgotten memory. I'm not interested in you or your quest... like I said, all I care about is that belt. This belt shows that theres still some tradition out there, so it fits what I'm all about. Its meant to be for me to be the Von Erich Memorial Champion. I and I alone, can make that title as big, IF NOT BIGGER, than the top title that this company has to offer. It would be comparable to the X Title and TNA. They made a name out of that title with the talent they surrounded it with in the beginning. And just like them, I will make a big name for this title once I take it. When people hear of SNW, they will place the Von Erich Memorial title here along with the man that made it what it is... and the name they will say won't be Dark Sun or Omerta. No, the name they will put with the belt is, Cyanide. Its simple, I am more driven than anybody to win in this company. I have too much pride to fail and because of that pride, I don't allow failure to tear me down. Just because I may not have come out the winner of the battle royal, I was top 3. Nobody would have thought I'd make that, but I did. And now, people may not think that I can climb the tree that is Dark Sun and chop him down inch by inch just to climb up a ladder and get my title shot... but I will. I'll do whatever it takes to get my hands on this opprotunity.
Cyanide adjusts his mask and then gets down and grabs on the top rope and looks down at the camera.
The time is drawing near. Soon the time for talking will be over and the time to fight will be at hand. Dark Sun, I'm going to wear you out in our match, make no mistake about that. You don't understand how much I want this shot, you don't understand what I'll be willing to put myself and you through to get it either. I will not be denied of this shot, no, I will take you out and I will climb up this ladder. Rung by rung, I will raise myself closer and closer to glory. And once I get it and I win this match, you will truely understand what its like to be overcome by pure poison. Dark Sun, I just hope you're fully prepared to endure the pain I have in store for you. Soon enough, you will feel what I have planned for you. I can guarantee that you will not enjoy it at all, but theres only one thing I can tell you...
Breathe in, sit back, relax, and remember, that it'll all be over soon. You are about to be overcome by Cyanide.
Cyanide gets an evil smile across his face. He puts to fingers to his throat and looks down. He comes up and spews green mist into the camera and begins to laugh as we slowly fade to black.
