She said "Don't leave this up to me to say that I don't love you anyway"
Just leave it up to me to say goodbye
Because these good times will never last
Keep a hand on the wheel and a foot on the gas
We thought it would last forever
I wish you'd just remember
No
Will anything change your mind?
(She said)
A one way ticket was a pretty good sign
(And I said)
Well how can you leave it all?
(And she said)
There ain't much to leave behind
Just say goodbye
So say goodbye
Say goodbye
So say goodbye
Just say goodbye
So say goodbye
Say goodbye
Just leave it up to me to say goodbye
Because these good times will never last
Keep a hand on the wheel and a foot on the gas
We thought it would last forever
I wish you'd just remember
No
Will anything change your mind?

(And I said)

Say goodbye
A million thoughts were running through Matt Margera's head, it seemed, as he sat down for lunch at McAlister's Deli in North Richland Hills, TX. He wasn't in much of a hurry to finish his chicken salad croissant sandwich and fruit with sweet iced tea as he was trying to get over the events of the other day, when Wench seemingly found out the truth about Matt Margera. The man whom she thought really loved her had betrayed her for Gordon Heath's assistant, Codi Shane. That's what it looked like anyway. "Take It Off" by the Donnas could be heard, which was Matt Margera's ringtone on his cellphone. He answered the phone. Turns out that SNW interviewer Brenda Price wanted to know where he was so that she could get an interview with him to discuss the events of this past week and the War Games match at Summer Bash. Matt decided that an interview for the fans to see on SNW.com would be the only way they could hear his side of this sordid story. Matt waited patiently for Brenda to arrive. After waiting about thirty minutes, she walked in and took a seat in the booth he was sitting at, electing to sit across from him.[/i]
BRENDA PRICE
Matt Margera, I want to thank you for granting this interview.
Matt Margera said "No problem" in a way that it sounded like this was the last thing he wanted to be doing, but knew it was necessary.
BRENDA PRICE
Matt, let's get this out of the way. I've known you for several years, and you never seemed like the man that would do what it seemed you did this past week to Wench. Could you explain what happened this past week at your place?
MATT MARGERA
Brenda, what I did in letting Codi stay the night was a mistake, no doubt about it.
BRENDA PRICE
Matt, why would you make a mistake like this, knowing that should your team wins War Games, Wench would be freed from Hellspawn?
MATT MARGERA
Well, Wench and I first met Codi at the Going Sports Nutz Academy back before SNW opened up. We were there visiting, scouting for talent to be used on SNW shows. Gordie, George and Craig spotted us and yelled at us to get out. Codi then began working behind the scenes here at SNW, putting out fliers for the shows, working the concession stands, paying whatever dues she had to pay to show that she was serious about being in this business. Wench had told me that she had a weird feeling about Codi, and I guess that was confirmed when Gordie hired her to be his assistant. While she had been nice to Codi when we first met her, she stayed her distance.
BRENDA PRICE
Let's fast forward if we could to when Codi Shane saw you and gave you her number. Many people were saying that something was up back then since you didn't throw the phone number away.
MATT MARGERA
Well when Wench and I first met her, we both seemed to hit it off with her as far as being friends go, Wench staying her distance not withstanding. Sure I took some jabs at Codi, but that's what friends do, they joke around with each other. I understood that she was young and naive, not knowing Gordie and the Sports Nutz all that well, which would explain why she was apt to follow in their footsteps. So that's why I accepted Codi's number, because she was a friend.
BRENDA PRICE
Now let's back up a second. You were friends with Codi. Did you take the feelings Wench had about her into consideration?
MATT MARGERA
The way I looked at it, I figured that Wench's feelings about Codi were being influenced by the Dark Ones, so I took that with a grain of salt. Now as far as the other night goes, when Codi came over. I gave her a call to talk about everything that had been going on. I had been worried sick about the possible outcome of the War Games match. The very thought of Wench being brainwased by the Dark Ones forever, and Hellspawn being a co-owner with Gordon Heath on top of that, was enough to trouble my spirit. So I needed a friend to talk to. Codi insisted on coming over, and I decided, "Why the heck not." She came over and we talked for a good while all night. As we talked about everything going on in SNW, we looked at the time and realized it was 3 AM. I let her stay the night, sleeping in my bed while I slept on the couch.
BRENDA PRICE
So nothing happened between you and Codi Shane?
Raising his voice, Matt retorted saying "Of course not!" He quickly apologized to Brenda for shouting, and she accepted, understanding that he had been through so much stress over the last month and a half.
MATT MARGERA
But yeah, nothing happened.
BRENDA PRICE
Well as an unbiased broadcast journalist, I must ask why you were rushing Wench to go have lunch instead of granting her wish to visit for a minute at your house.
MATT MARGERA
Simply put, I knew how she was going to react if she saw Codi Shane. I didn't even expect Wench to come over, and I was so elated when she called and said she was coming over that I had completely forgotten that Codi was still here at the house. When I finally realized that, Wench had already arrived. So that's why I was trying to talk her into going out to lunch first, to keep her from seeing Codi. Luckily for me, Codi had parked her car in my garage, so Wench couldn't have seen that, so I figured I'd be in the clear if I could talk her into leaving. But that was not to be the case as Codi walked down the stairs, not knowing that Wench was coming over.
BRENDA PRICE
So come War Games: The Match Beyond at Summer Bash, you're still fighting for Wench's love, and your co-ownership is taking a backseat. Would I be correct to assume this?
MATT MARGERA
You would be correct to assume such a thing.
BRENDA PRICE
But what about the fact that you and Wench cannot refuse to fight each other once both of you are inside the cage?
MATT MARGERA
All that matters is that Wench comes back home to where she belongs and gets away from those demons that are brainwashing her.
BRENDA PRICE
No doubt that this is the biggest challenge of your career, and this match will be your toughest as the team you're facing has been a team for quite some time, whereas the only people on your team that have any experience teaming with each other are Silvus and Enigmah.
MATT MARGERA
You know what, Brenda? It's not like I had a whole of options, now did I? Soul Reaper got taken out, and even though they're going to deny it, I have a strong feeling that Dark Sun and Gory were the men that attacked him. Any other teams that had been together for quite some time are busy fighting off their own enemies, and the only other option I had as far as teams go was the team of the Sports Nutz, and we know they weren't going to team up with me. So I went out to get the best talent possible. Emo Kid, who got to know Hellspawn and how he operates. And then there's Silvus and Enigmah, who know Gory and Dark Sun inside out. We may have never wrestled a match as a team, but that doesn't mean we have zero chance to win either.
BRENDA PRICE
What about the fact that it seems that Emo Kid isn't focused on the War Games match and is instead obsessed with Andrew Smith to make his long awaited return to SNW, calling him a coward for leaving SNW in the first place?
MATT MARGERA
Brenda, Emo Kid marches to the beat of his own drummer. I tried to talk to him about staying focused on the War Games, but he told me to quit "telling him what to do." And you know what? I need someone on my team that has a chip on their shoulder. I need someone who's going to go in there and beat the ever living hell out of whoever is inside that cage. When Emo Kid gets inside that cage, you can bet that he's going to go after anything that's moving and considers themselves a Dark One.
BRENDA PRICE
Matt, thanks for your time and good luck this Sunday at Summer Bash.
MATT MARGERA
No problem.
The camera faded out as Brenda got up to go get herself something to eat, and Matt elected to go home.[/b]
