The scene fades back in to the back yard of Matt and Wench. The sliding door opens and Wench steps out followed by Damien. She looked back to him and smiled as he was carrying a blanket for them to sit on. She was carrying a picnic basket. They walked back to the tree house. She took the blanket from Damien and watched as he climbed up to the top.
Damien stopped and laughed and clapped his hands. Wench wondered what he was doing and climbed up behind him. She froze. She set the basket and blanket down and looked around the fenced back yard.
Sitting in the middle of the tree house was a large remote controlled black hummer. She trembled a bit and took out her cell phone and sent Matt a text message.
Across town, Matt's cell rings indicating he's received a text message. He opens his phone and reads the message.
Come home now...
Confused by her message, Matt calls Wench.
Kat, what's wrong?
What the hell?
Ok, stay calm. I'm on my way.
By the time Matt got home, Damien was in front of the house driving his new hummer on the wrap around porch. Wench is seated in the porch swing watching him. Matt walks over and sits next to her.
You let him keep that?
How could I not? I mean look, he's having a ball with it. It's just the circumstances of how he got it that's freaking me out.
I know. Kat,you gotta pull yourself together. You know he's trying to get into your head. You can't let him. This is an important match coming up.
He's doing a good job of it. I hate his mind games.
Wench sighed and curled her legs up under her.
I just have to go out there and do the best I can and get as far as I can in this tournament. Who doesn't want to be the first ever champion of SNW. I can't think of anything that would drive Gordan Heath more insane than if I won that title and that's what I'm going to strive to do, even if I do have to constantly look over my shoulder.
Matt laughed at the thought of Gordan having a fit cause Wench won.
That's better. If it'll make you feel safer, I'll have a team come in and give us a better security system.
Wench shook her head.
The one we have is fine. Besides, you know how Hellspawn is. If he wants in, he's going to find a way and no security system is going to stop him.
Matt nodded and wrapped his arms around Wench to comfort her.
We'll find a way to make it through this. We always do.
Wench nods and the scene fades out on the hummer as it goes to black.
