Jack Clinton is in an undisclosed location for this week and will be for the forseeable future- at least until the 24th, when Summer Bash invades the Moody Coliseum.
Let's not even bother with the pleasantries this time, gents. We all know who we are, we all know who we're facing, and we all know what's at stake. And we know this...that due to things over the last few weeks, the armor covering the SNW Texas Champion, my so-called friend Chris Angel, has gained its fair share of chinks and dents. I don't know how it's happened or why it's happened, but suddenly there are things that have gone wrong.
Come on, Angel, I don't know what's gotten into you lately but it's starting to make you look like something that I never thought you were but maybe by the way you've been acting lately...maybe since you've had your first taste of top company gold in about six years it's made you a little possessive, maybe a little cowardly, perhaps? I mean, look what you did to Versus Vince last week. Don't even try and make yourself out to look like the good guy there. You took a swing at one of the best young hopes SNW has and cold cocked him. Don't try and tell me that you were swinging at Danny Palis. You know damn well that the first second you could, you'd take out anyone involved.
And then we go to later that night. When Chris P. attacked me. I don't know for sure what you were thinking when you had him do that- and don't try and deny it, Angel. You've done this once before, Chris. When the odds were against you at the War Games match we had back in WWA, you paid Chris off to take me out just so you could help Nash gain control. Who's to say you weren't above that again? You've become a marked man, Angel, and you don't like that. You're losing your mind, and it's causing you to do things that you wouldn't normally do.
And right now, the way I see it, twelve days remain between now and the end of your reign as champion. Because not only are you stepping into the ring with someone who doesn't trust you as far as he can throw you, someone who feels disrespected because you cold cocked him in the middle of the ring, and a guy who lost to Mike LaFontaine, it's an elimination match. Meaning, of course, that all three of us can gang up on you and take you out before you can even breathe one breath of the air that'll be circulating through Moody Coliseum.
I plan to be the one to take you out, Angel, and if I have to do it early, I will. If I have to cripple you to do so, I will. I'm past the point of caring. I thought we were friends and there's been a lot lately that is making me doubt that. All because you've grown insecure in your position and you want others to suffer from your pain. You don't like where you are and it's making you become a person that you aren't. It's only fair that the Texas Championship comes off of you, so you can go back to being the Chris Angel we all know.
As far as Messrs. Vince and Palis are concerned, I have this bit of advice for you. Do not come into this match with a big head and an overinflated sense of self. It will get you nowhere but eliminated and eliminated early. You both know what the task at hand is, and at least one of you has earned the right to be here. The question is will you be able to follow through on such a task. Right now, Vegas odds are leaning towards no. I don't need to tell you how long I've been aching for that Texas Championship- I've already done enough of that over most of the last year and you've heard enough of it, I'm sure. What I do need to tell you is that, thanks to the actions of our Texas Champion, the game has changed and changed drastically.
There isn't going to be any excuses, gentlemen. If you don't win this match, it means that you aren't good enough to be considered Texas Championship material. Plainly and simply put. We've all got something to prove, and this is the time and place to do it. And in the end, it's going to be me, Jack Clinton, who proves his own something and finally becomes the SNW Texas Heavyweight Champion. There is no other legitimate outcome. Either the belt goes on someone who may not be ready for it, someone who doesn't deserve it, or someone who doesn't have a grasp on what it really means to be champion.
I ask you all...do you really want that?
