The scene opens in Vince and Valerie's apartment. Valerie is sitting on the couch alone, watching TV. Suddenly, there's a knock on the door. She does nothing, expecting them to walk in. There is the sound of the door opening, and then closing. Valerie looks toward the hallway, and sees her brother, Blake, walk inside.
"Sup, little sis?"
"Oh my god, Blake!"
"Yeah, oh my god, Blake. If you don't remember I uh... used to live here."
"Good to see you didn't forget the address."
"I thought maybe I should in case that Versus Vince guy messes things up with you."
"Oh, you still hate him?"
"Hate is too strong of a word, Val. Its just a little grudge based on the fact that he stole my sister away from me."
"Me and Vince are happy together."
"Yeah, its great to see you took up his profession, and started hanging out with his friends... real awesome, there sis."
"Kijar and Seth? They're really cool. And you're a wrestler too, don't complain about that now."
"I was built to be a wrestler, you weren't. Its hard to believe you're even able to survive walking down to the ring."
"You're kidding? You don't think I can handle myself?"
"That's pretty much my point."
"That's really hard to believe. You know, you're my brother, you're supposed to have faith in me. Vince has faith in me."
"Whatever Vince has, I don't, right?"
"Don't get ahead of yourself."
"So, I dropped by to see why you're commentating on my match against Matt Ward at Guys Night Out."
"Well, for starters, you're my brother."
"How obvious was that?"
"Shutup. The second thing is that we're scouting new talent for the Versus Violation. Vince insisted that I check out the match. He said my brother would have perfect chemistry with me for managing and fitting in with the stable. He also said Matt Ward has charisma and with the right tools, he could be brought up to top notch level."
"The Versus Violation? Are you crazy? I can't stand that guy. Working under him would be an insult. Plus, isn't he younger than... everyone else in the stable?"
"That's what makes his leadership skills so unique, Blake. He's got all the tools to be a main event performer in the future, and he's already started."
"Yeah, well, I don't even think that Matt Ward guy shows too much charisma."
"Would you see him as a good opponent instead of a lesser wrestler?"
"If I see him as a good opponent, that'll make me think down on myself. I always have to be high on the rise, ya know?"[/color
"Maybe Vince was wrong, maybe you aren't Versus Violation material."
"Are you kidding me? That Kijar guy is all about confidence."
"Kijar's Italian, he can't help it."
"And that's another thing, he uses that as his excuse to everything."
"You really think so? What's your thoughts on your opponent, then?"
"Matt Ward? I don't know too much about the guy. I do know that he needs to get a win under his belt to impress me."
"He brought Zachary Smith to his limit's in their debut match."
"Really? 'cause I brought Zach Smith crashing to the mat in my debut. Small world."
"You really need to lighten, up."
"You think I can just forget about you choosing your boyfriend over me?"
"He had no place to stay, and you obviously found somewhere else."
"Whatever. He's not worth it, Val. I keep tellin' you,"
"If you think so then maybe its about time you got out of my house, huh?"
"Wow. I promised myself I'd never here you say those words again. I guess promises aren't enough."
"I guess not."
"Val..."
"No. The minute you start disrespecting me and my boys, that's my limit. And I'm sure Matt Ward is gonna take you to yours at GNO. Get out."
Without word, Blake Snyder turns his back to his sister and exists the apartment. The scene fades.[/center]
