The shot opens up inside the private dining room area of Dunpork's House Of Bacon, where members of the local media as well as the wrestling media have gathered for a press conference that has been put together by Gordon Heath and the Codi Shane, in conjunction with Mark Followill. A podium has been set up, and Codi Shane and Gordon Heath both appear and walk up to the podium to address the media that is on hand.
CODI SHANE
"The Excellent Gordie" and I both want to thank each and every one of you for waking up and making it over here to the House Of Bacon this morning. As you all may have heard by now, Mark Followill has decided to step down from his play by play duties. He has served Sports Nutz Wrestling well, having been the main play by play man for Saturday Night Onslaught, going all the way back to when it was just Onslaught and aired on Sunday afternoons on Mav TV. He also did play by play for the majority of our PPV shows, as well as our TV specials such as No Holds Barred and The Main Event.
GORDIE
And let me interject here and state that I in no way forced this resignation upon Followill, even though there have been numerous times I would get annoyed with his blatantly biased commentary.
CODI SHANE
No more biased than your buddies Jason Martel and Koko B. Ware.
GORDIE
That's not the point. The point is, Dallas Mavericks basketball comes first for Mark, and last year, with the majority of SNW's shows airing live, he struggled being able to juggle both SNW and the Mavericks. Right now, let's bring out our soon to be departing play by play commentator, Mark Followill, who will shed more light on the subject.
The media on hand applauds as Codi and Gordie step back into the background and Mark Followill, dressed in black gym shorts and a white Dallas Mavericks T-shirt, makes his way to the podium. For some reason, he has a bottle of Jose Cuervo in his right hand.
MARK FOLLOWILL
Well I'd first like to thank my main man, Jose... Jose Cuervo, a great way to wake up in the morning! Second, to touch on what Gordie brought up earlier. For those of you who have been watching Sports Nutz Wrestling from the beginning, you may remember that Saturday Night Onslaught was at one time was simply known as Onslaught, and was taped on a weeknight, then aired later in the weekend on Mav TV. It was easy doing play by play for SNW during that time period as Onslaught would air bi-weekly, barring TV specials or PPVs, and SNW was able to schedule the tapings in line with whenever I was off duty from the Dallas Mavericks. However, SNW had quickly become successful enough to garner a better television deal with the CW Network, and began airing Saturday Night Onslaught live, not taped. This presented more of a challenge for me, as the Dallas Mavericks come first. I looked back at last season, as Mark Bishop filled in for me quite a bit, and I realized how many shows I missed, and not even due to my drinking habits. So it is with a heavy and drunk heart that I resign my post here in SNW. However, I will continue to follow this great little wrestling company in Texas that could, and will continue to support it. Also, this coming Saturday night on Saturday Night Onslaught will be my final engagement for SNW. Now, I'll allow Gordie and/or Codi to name my replacement as quite frankly... I gotta do some drinkin' man!

Well, let's hope that Followill doesn't show up like that this Saturday night. Now, when Followill gave us his resignation, we began our search for a suitable replacement. Someone that we feel would complement Jason Martel well on Saturday Night Onslaught and Main Event broadcasts. And it didn't take us long to find a replacement, did it, Codi?
CODI SHANE
It didn't take us very long at all. In fact, this person had been in correspondence with us before Followill even decided to step down. This person has been following the exploits of Saturday Night Onslaught for a while now with quite a bit of passion for the product, and thus we feel is a great fit for our company. Ladies and gentlemen, allow us to introduce the newest member of the SNW family... she's the weekend sports anchor for CW 33 here in Dallas/Fort Worth and is currently dating Dallas Cowboys quarterback, Tony Romo... ladies and gentlemen, Candice Crawford!
The media that has been gathered applauds as Candice Crawford, dressed ever so professional in jeans and a white Tony Romo Cowboys jersey, makes her way up to the podium, shaking hands with both Gordie and Codi before they make it back to the background to allow Candice to take over at the podium.
CANDICE CRAWFORD
I want to start off by saying that it is an honor to be the person that will be following in Mark Followill's footsteps here in SNW. If I can be just one-quarter as good as old Fozzywill was, I will be very happy. I have been watching SNW since it began to air on the CW after hearing friends of mine telling me of a new wrestling program that was on the air that was based right here in the Metroplex. I look forward to working with the good people of this organization, and am most looking forward to my debut on The Main Event, airing August 28 on the CW. I hate to cut this short, but it is a very busy time for me as I have to fly back out to Oxnard, California to cover Cowboys training camp. Have a good day, everybody.
Candice leaves the podium area as the shot fades out.
