Craig Mueller and George Dunpork played football, baseball, basketball, and ice hockey when they were in high school. Upon graduation from college, they met up with their newfound agent, Gordon Heath. He tried to get them contracts in the NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB, but the sports-loving duo was denied by all four leagues. They claim it was because the players in those leagues used their stroke to talk the owners into not signing them, fearing they'd be shown up. However, it is widely believed it was actually because they weren't that good to begin with. They trained in Skandor Akbar's wrestling academy to try to pursue a wrestling career, but had a tough time with bookings and would temporarily give up after toiling in the indy scene for a lengthy amount of time. Eventually, they would turn to the world of radio.
When Live 105.3 FM decided that they were going to try to lure away listeners of Sportsradio 1310 the Ticket, George, Craig, and Gordon were the first three guys they had in mind. Live's goal? To sign personnel with names similar to the Ticket personnel, but opposite character traits. However, management realized what a bad idea it was, and immediately fired the trio. Realizing they didn't have much else to fall back on, they returned to the world of wrestling. They're first stop was WCE, where they had some success with George Dunpork winning the World Title, but the organization soon folded. They soon made their way to FCW, where they had the most success, as they recruited old friends of theirs to form one of the most powerful stables in FCW history, the Sports Authority. In FCW, the Sports Nutz won the Tag Team Titles, were part of the winning team in Stable Wars, and hosted their own interview segment, Sports Talk. However, FCW eventually shut down in mid 2005. The Sports Nutz would venture off to UHW, RMW, WRF and NAWA, winning the tag titles of those promotions.
Upon Gordie founding SNW, they were named to the positions of Commissioner and General Manager. But once Hellspawn revealed that he was majority owner, he fired them from their staff positions, but not from the company, allowing them to stay on the roster as active wrestlers.
