Well, if we do make the switch, I'd like to offer my services as an admin if granted.

Well, if we do make the switch, I'd like to offer my services as an admin if granted. I'd make you a GM along with Wench and Reaper. Almost the same number of powers with the exception of just a few things. Pretty much what you're doing here.

Well... Moving could be a good idea for many things really... Personally, i prefer using Invisionfree, and im more used to everything their than on Proboards.
But, if we did move it could clean up alot of the stuff we don't need on here anymore.
I don't really have much of a preference i mean... i'd just go with whatever happens haha.

Now thinking about it, Invision has better resources for RPing, but the coding is much more confusing. We'd have to change our outlook.

Like I said yesterday to Matt, I have been a moderator and/or administrator at both Proboards and Invision, and I prefer Invision. I like the options Invision gives you for controlling the forums and who can see them and what each "class" of member can do in the forums. I found Invision way more user friendly for the regular posters of the board, too.
On the other hand, it would be an insane amount of work to copy and paste everything to save it. I know. I tried to do that with the old FCW boards. I guess it just depends on how much work the administration of this board is willing to put into moving. Haha.
In the end, I suppose it doesn't matter to me whether we move or stay. I'm game either way.

Now thinking about it, Invision has better resources for RPing, but the coding is much more confusing. We'd have to change our outlook. I know what you're talking about, I think. How when you press the bold or italics button, it only has the first one up, then it leaves it up to you to close the tags? You can always type in the tags manually, I suppose. We'll cross that bridge if we get to it. Like I said yesterday to Matt, I have been a moderator and/or administrator at both Proboards and Invision, and I prefer Invision. In the end, I suppose it doesn't matter to me whether we move or stay. I'm game either way. It would be a bit of a lengthy process for sure. That's why I would leave this board open if we did make the switch. As for copying and pasting promos, I would leave that up to the members and would make the Video Vault board over there open for regular members to post so they could copy and paste their old promos.

i think deep down, i'm far more used to Proboards then i am with invisionfree. i think most of the forums/feds i've been in, a good majority of them have been on proboards. i suppose i'm partial to proboards because i'm so used to it.
obviously, if we made the move to IF, i would still make the move with the rest of you. both forums are easy to use, from the members stand point. i'm simply more used to poorboards.

I do like Invision's PM system, but I won't be able to change my username on a whim like I like to. That is seriously my favorite thing about proboards.
I'm not sure if I have much to add, really, I just wanted to see what my avatar and sig were.

I've seen the work Matt is doing to possibly move us to Invision. I must say, it looks so much better that here. Its sharper and crisper and looks more professional. I can only see good things coming from the possible move.

wow......IF actually allows sub-boards. all these years and i never knew that before. i was looking over the "alternate" site & it's looking nice.
the colors are coming off a lot sharper & crisper, which i like.
