I want to thank you all for taking time on Labor Day to come to this press conference. I have two major announcements, both of which affect the upcoming card for Guys Night Out at the Curtain Club in Deep Ellum on September 13. The first one concerns the rivalry that heated up between Emo Kid and Andrew Smith, and has now been encroached upon by Andy Lionheart and Dreadlock. Emo Kid claims to be the most hardcore wrestler in SNW. Andrew Smith has said that he never claimed to be the most hardcore wrestler in the world, but wants a chance to shut Emo Kid up. Andy Lionheart wants to prove his worth in the wrestling world. And Dreadlock just flat out wants to hurt people. The solution I have come up with will afford these four men those very opportunities. Another independent wrestling promotion, XCW, promoted these ultraviolent series of matches known as the Seven Stages of Violence, and have since shortened them to the Triad of Violence. With the blessing of XCW Wrestling, Sports Nutz Wrestling will be entering Emo Kid, Andrew Smith, Andy Lionheart and Dreadlock into its own version of the Seven Stages of Violence. This is not best four out of seven. The object is to be able to survive all seven stages, and ultimately win the seventh stage. So you can not win the first six stages, but if you survive to make it to the seventh stage and win that stage, you win the Seven Stages of Violence. Each stage will be a different stipulation match. Stages 1, 3, 5 and 7 have been predetermined. However, Stages 2, 4, and 6 will be voted on by the fans of SNW, and the results of the voting will be made public one week before the next stage. The stipulation matches for Stages 1, 3, 5 and 7 are as follows: Fans and Wrestlers Bring the Weapons, Taipei Deathmatch, the Devil's Bunk Beds, and the Barbed Wire Cage Match. I'll take any questions you have about the Seven Stages of Violence.
REPORTER #1
Where did you come up with the ideas for some of those matches? I've never even heard of the Devil's Bunk Beds.
GORDIE
The stipulation matches were emailed to me by some random fan who said that the Seven Stages of Violence was the perfect way to settle the score among Emo Kid, Andrew Smith, Andy Lionheart and Dreadlock. As for the Devil's Bunk Beds... They are two tables stacked on top of each other, with barbed wire and light tubes affixed to the tables. The object of this particular match is to slam your opponent into the Devil's Bunk Beds.
REPORTER #2
What are some of the other stipulation matches that the fans will be allowed to vote on?
GORDIE
That will be announced on SNW.com. Stage 1, which will be the Fans and Wrestlers Bring the Weapons Match, will take place at Guys' Night Out on September 13. And I have decided that the winner of the Seven Stages of Violence will receive a shot at the SNW Texas Championship. Now speaking of championships, my next announcement concerns the brand new Von Erich Memorial Championship. At Guys' Night Out on September 13, there will be a battle royal consisting of wrestlers who do not have a match at GNO. The final two combatants will then face off the very next week at Onslaught in a ladder match to crown the very first Von Erich Memorial Champion. Are there any questions concerning the Von Erich Title?
Nobody seems to have any questions, so Gordie thanks everyone for making it out to the press conference.
