Scene opens with Brenda Price in the backstage area for Guys Night Out. She is standing beside “Everyone’s Favourite Canadian Lady” Adriana Samu and Kaos. Brenda is looking nervously at Kaos, who is minding his own business, checking out the bustling that’s going on around him.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I’m here with “Everyone’s Favourite Canadian Lady” Adriana Samu, SNW’s newest acquisition. Although you’re not on the card for tonight, you decided to come down for the show. What brings you here?
Adriana is looking at Brenda with disdain.
Well, Brenda, what better opportunity to get to know your future opponents than to watch them in action? I am looking forward to watching this show and scouting my competition. Simple as that.
Kaos gets excited and stands up, looking like he’s going to run off. He promptly sits down on Adriana’s command.
Um, shouldn’t that thing be on a leash?
Adriana scoffs.
What for? Putting him on a leash would be useless. If he really wanted to go somewhere, me on the end of a leash isn’t going to stop him. He’s heavier and stronger than I am. Besides, Kaos is trained.
Brenda, nervously, continues her questions.
Alright…anyway…You have been known in the past for stirring the pot, as it were. Controversy seems to follow you. You have only had a contract for a few days and you’re already making people angry around here – Sean O’Brien, The Williams Brothers in particular, among others. What do you have to say to that?
Simply put, Brenda, people don’t like honesty and I am a very honest person. The fact that I seem to have forgotten that O’Brien beat me for my title in NAWA seems to have upset the guy. It’s not that I have forgotten, it’s just that I don’t care. You don’t get anywhere focusing on your failings. Besides, I bet if you added up my win-loss record it would look pretty dismal. I have lost a lot. It’s not the losses that get you places in life. It’s the wins. And it’s not the quantity of wins that gets you places, either. It’s the quality of your wins. Did you break a record? Did you accomplish something no one thought you could? Did you do it with grit and determination? Did you do it with style? Those are the things that matter. I follow my own career, not O’Brien’s. I’m not really sure why The Williams’ are upset at me. I did mention that they had some good bouts with my two best friends. As for the rest of the people that have a problem with me around here – I take no responsibility for that. I just came in here and did what the SNW administration asked of me – to promote myself to the fans. If someone found my promotion offensive they can turn the channel when I come on.
You mentioned your two best friends; I assume you’re referring to “The Assassin” Rory Kotch and “The Other Girl” Petrina Rotchester, your fellow Y Kores members. Are they planning to follow you here?
As you may know, I also manage the two girls. As their manager, I can tell you that they are busy perusing other goals they set for themselves when I shut down NAWA. Octavia Stephanova, who you know as Rory Kotch, opened a wrestling school with her husband several years ago and she is training some new young talent there right now. Petrina Rotchester is doing some acting and some general drunken revelry right now. Both want to return to the ring eventually, but not until they feel that drive that just recently caused me to seek out a promotion to join. They’ll be back. It’s just a matter of when they feel like it.
